? for Jordan Reed (UPDATED)

Postby kiddragonsoft » Tue Oct 29, 2013 12:07 pm

For team in sig,
Give Jordan Reed, Nick Folk, 2014 2nd
Get Jonathan Stewart, Scott Chandler, Mike Nugent
What do you guys think?
Hard to gauge JStew's value now a day. Earlier in the season this would be a no brainer.
He sent a new proposal,
give J Reed
get J Stew
is JStew done or is he worth a top 10 dynasty TE?

Another owner approached me for reed. How do u guys feel about one of these deals,
Give Reed
Get R Randle or G Tate.

Man oh man. JStew could turn it around, but collectively we've been waiting on the guy forever. He's been in the league for 6 years and hasn't really rewarded owners, so if I'm looking at history as a predictor then I want JStew as far away from my roster as possible. Reed while far from a sure thing looks promising and is healthy, I'd roll with him.

I'd much rather have Reed over JStew. The 2nd round pick is probably the 2nd best asset in this deal, imo. This is an easy reject for me.

I'd take Reed alone over Stewart and Chandler. Having to give up a 2014 2nd makes it an easy reject.

I wouldn't even consider this deal. You're giving up Reed, the most valuable piece in this trade, and a 2nd (the 2nd most valuable piece in this trade). Don't do it.

Ok declined the original trade and he came back with this,
give J Reed
get J Stewart
I'm really unsure about this but I could use RB help if JStew comes back or is he a lost cause already.

I don't see the need for the follow up question. Almost all the posts above were very clear that people prefer Reed to Jstew straight up as well as the original deal.

I would have sided with Jonathan Stewart if it was Reed vs Stewart straight up, but the 2nd on top of Reed makes it a toss up for me.

*Stewart has very few supporters right now, and I would not be expecting ANY production from him this year. More of a buy hoping he gets healthy soon with DeAngelo being 30.

^ I agree that Stew has a chance of being a good buy low. I just think it is unlikely that happens. While it seems very likely Reed emerges as a top 7 TE as soon as this year. Unless I was desperate at RB and loaded at TE, I would pass

Reed over Stewart for me...and I own Stew and want Reed, but in no way would I think I could get Reed for him. I think Stewart needs to show something first. I think Reed is locked as a TE1 going forward.

Even if DeAngello is almost done, you still have Tolbert and Newton to deal with. I also wouldn't be surprised if Barner filled some of DWills role...that said, I'm rooting for JStew!
