Colin McCarthy
Colin McCarthy was just dropped in my league. Is he valuable enough when healthy and starting to go ahead and scoop up now? I don't have a need right now for a LB to start but hate to leave real talent out there for others to grab. Thoughts on grabbing him and stashing until he regains the job?

Re: Colin McCarthy
Actually, I just dropped him (in one of my leagues), to pick up leonard Hankerson. I was stashing him, but couldn't resist getting Hankerson back (dropped him right before the season started, thinking he was not going to live up to his talent level).
If you have the room and there is not a better offensive option, by all means, pick him up and stash him, as I think he will eventually get his MLB job back. I am still keeping tabs on him (in the league I dropped him in), thinking no one will add him before he starts producing again. I will try to add him back later, if I can (but only if it makes sense to my team).

Yeah I think I am going to just track him for now. I also picked up Hankerson yesterday with him being on the field more than Josh Morgan already and Shanahan saying Hankerson needs to get on the field more.

Re: Colin McCarthy
I dropped him and no one picked him up. Would rather roll with Bront Bird or something for short term gains.
Re: Colin McCarthy
if your in a deeper league, i would definatly pick him up. he has shown that he can produce lb1 numbers when hes healthy and playing. i think he wins his jub back by midseason.

Re: Colin McCarthy
I agree with this. He has shown the LB1 ability. Crazy that a journeyman LB beat him out. Is it disiplinary? Or what? I'm holding due to what I saw 2 years ago.will6779 wrote:if your in a deeper league, i would definatly pick him up. he has shown that he can produce lb1 numbers when hes healthy and playing. i think he wins his jub back by midseason.

Re: Colin McCarthy
I am stashing him as well. He will be back in a few games is my call. He has too much to leave it on the bench. Staff in Nashville job's are on the line this year they will be pulling out all the stops.
Re: Colin McCarthy
Just a matter of time before he is back starting. Guy is a starting talent when healthy. I would stash him if I could. Waiting for him to be dropped.
Re: Colin McCarthy
I argee that McCarthy will get his starting job back once he's back in football shae and up to speed. The only reason he's not starting is because of all the missed preseason.

Re: Colin McCarthy
So since Carlos Dansby is just temporarily filling in for D Washington while he's suspended would you go ahead and drop Dansby for McCarthy then? I'm not starting Dansby with B Wagner, Bruce Carter, Cushing and Mychal Kendricks all starting for me currently.

Re: Colin McCarthy
Does anyone think Dansby would be a solid start this week over any of the other guys I listed? Erin Henderson had 13 tackles against the Lions I think and Dansby had 13 himself last week. It's a tackle heavy format. Then I'd drop Dansby for McCarthy afterwards

Re: Colin McCarthy
Wagner and Carter (since Dal switch to Tampa 2) should be mainstays in your lineup. Kendricks and Cushing are excellent choices as your 3rd and 4th LBs you can afford to drop Dansby and wait on McCarthy to get his job back.
