major dilema in 2 keeper league

Postby sloth8u » Thu Feb 21, 2013 5:52 pm

i have acquired some nice pieces in a keep 2 league...now i have to decide which 2 to keep. HELP!!!!!!! i have trent richardson, doug martin, cam newton, andrew luck, julio jones, and jimmy graham. im not quite sure how ive gotten all these quality players over last season, but now i can only keep 2 of them. the league is big td friendly with bonuses for the long score. im lost on who to keep. not sure if it would be best to keep a qb and rb. a qb and jones, or both rb or even a rb and jones. but then there is graham who has potential to be as productive as the top wr at the te position. thoughts anybody?

How many teams? What are the starting requirements?

I'm all about keeping stud potential RBs in keep-2 leagues, so I'd probably go Richardson and Martin.

Martin gets long TDs for sure... I agree with keeping RBs as well... but depending on how many teams, i'd be tempted to keep cam, luck, and/or graham

I'd likely keep Cam and Martin.

I'd also keep Richardson and Martin. Dropping those extra guys will be tough. Can you trade them to a weaker team for picks? Or consolidate them for someone you personally see as an elite level player? You have some pieces that to the right team with the right player, you can pretty much acquire anyone you want.
Team 1: 10 Team, 4 Keeper League, Non-PPR
QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt
WR: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant
TE: Rob Gronkowski

unfortunately their offseason trade procedures dont allow trades until draft day, and even then...you can only trade for picks. the rules dont make sesnse to the majority of the league, but 3 brothers run the league and its hard to separate family members, they all want to stick up for each other.
the league is bonus friendly with all td's 6, bonuses for long td's, bonuses for 300 and 400 yd passing games, 100 and 200 yd games for wr, te, rb. the owner of breese has won the championship 2 of 4 years. his team never has depth or is really even any good, but with breese scoring so much for him with the bonuses...he is able to make up for his horrible roster.
do you guys think that luck will be a qb to put up 300 yds a week and 400 a few times a season? i dont see cam doing it, but luck may be a different story. i think if he can do that, he is a sure keeper. graham gives me the huge advantage at te, but its hard to let the other guys go.
my other thought is to let both qb's go and hope one of them falls back to me. if this ends up being my choice, i keep the 2 rb's and ride them till the wheels fall off.
the starting requirements are qb, rb, wr, te, 2 flex....should this change the way i approach my decision?
