better developmental WR and TE?

Postby ShafLaw4 » Fri Apr 20, 2012 9:30 am

Who is the better prospect WR: J.Baldwin or R. Cobb?

Who is the better prospect TE: M. Bennett or J. Cook?

I have a 20 man roster and need to cut it down by getting rid of 4 players for the upcoming draft. Im going to drop B.Scott and S.Vereen but I need to drop 2 more players and don't know who i should cut. Advice?

I believe Cook has the higher upside and skill, I've never like Bennett, he dropped the ball too much with his limited targets in Dallas. Not sure about the wr's, I'd like to say Baldwin but I like the guy catching passes from ARod over Cassel or Quinn

Agreed, like the upside of Cook much better and even though it is more crowded over in GB, I like his situation better!

I agree with you both and thats my struggle. Baldwin i think is the better talent but Cobb has the better QB, plus with driver getting older it moves him up in the depth chart.

Im also trying to move A.brown and vernon davis for j.charles. if this happens ill keep both cook and bennett but if not ill likely get rid of bennett.

I say whatever pans out, get rid of Bennett. It is true, he is not a hard worker.

At the same time, how is anyone high on Cook. How many years in a row can he be the Tight End that's going to break out?

What draft pick do you have? also, with such small rosters, you can probably cut both TEs since you have Vernon Davis.

Also, I"d try to hang onto Vereen just in case...

It's not about being super high on Cook, it's more about people over valuing Bennet. Cook is just the better pick of the two to me and at least he could be something more. I don't Bennet has it in him to be the guy and he's only on a 1 yr contract, so the Giants don't think he has it in him and he has to prove people wrong.

If Ballard, Beckum are indeed not playing this year, bennett is a good option...Ballard was quite effective until he got injured.....He is a good blocker so will stay on the field for all downs

I doubt Ballard is the same after his injury.
