Coby Fleener
Curious as to if his stock will rise even more if the Colts draft him with Luck? Last year he had 34 rec for 667yds and 10tds with Luck at Stanford. For a young QB a TE can be his best friend.

It could also go down if SF drafts him in the late 1st as has been rumored.

I don't think that will happen....they have also been rumored for a OG and a WR, despite the new additions who have signed short term deals!thriftyrocker wrote:It could also go down if SF drafts him in the late 1st as has been rumored.
I just don't see Fleener going in late first round...mid-2nd or into the 3rd?

I am hoping to get him at 2.04 and think I have a good chance of doing so.

I can see him going in the second round but this is what I am wondering if the Colts do draft him do you think people will jump at him earlier? Do the Colts have a TE at the moment? What better way to bring along a young QB then to give him a weapon he used to.TryingToWin wrote:I am hoping to get him at 2.04 and think I have a good chance of doing so.

Re: Coby Fleener
His stock might jump if he lands in Indy, but I don't think it should. Though he has a report with Luck, I think having Fleener in indy is better for Luck than it is for fleener. If he lands someplace like the Giants at the end of the first, I think he could be really valuable. If he lands in Indy, or some other bad team at the top of the second, I think it could be a while before he develops into a startable fantasy asset.
He's a near perfect prospect, from a fantasy perspective. Great hands, fast, tall, strong. But the reports I've read say his blocking is really poor, and he won't be a consistent starter unless he is able to block.

Re: Coby Fleener
I think his best spot would be NYG but I think Indy is close behind. I think Indy would love to get him with their 2nd round pick.
Re: Coby Fleener
I don't see any way he falls to the third. I think he's gone in the late 20's-early 30's.
Re: Coby Fleener
He may be getting a bit too pumped up. I actually thought a couple other TE prospects (depending on what team / QB) they go to looked more promising. I also think the whole Luck - Fleener relationship and familiarity thing is overhyped. Defenses in the NFL will cancel that out. Fleener going to NYG with Eli would be better for Fleener than him going to Indi regardless of his chemistry with Luck.

Re: Coby Fleener
I disagree JFever. Don't you think that if Fleener was there that when Luck is in a pinch he is going to look for him in those situations just because he is familiar with him.

Re: Coby Fleener
Fleener needs to land in the right situation to have value. I don't see him as a fit for the g-men as he is a poor blocker. I'm not sold on the 2012 TE class.
Re: Coby Fleener
exactly! If Coby goes to Indy he could be a top 12 TE IMO. Sure Luck may eyeball him and throw a bunch of INTs trying to force him the ball but that doesnt affect Fleeners stats. INDY would be my first choice for him then NYG.Lumps wrote:Ahahahathriftyrocker wrote:Earl Bennett.
