What does it take to sell Lamar in a rebuild?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What does it take to sell Lamar in a rebuild?

Postby tominansky » Wed May 08, 2024 6:02 am

Team 1. Started the rebuild and grabbed 4 firsts and 3 seconds for 2025. Debating what I would need to move Lamar or if it makes sense at all. He should be 29 when this team re-emerges. Should sell DK leading up to the season or in-season as well.

What is it going to take for you to move Lamar if this was your rebuild?

2026: 2x 1st, 3x 2nd, 2x 3rd, 4th

Team 2:

I wouldn't sell Lamar, I don't consider him old, he's not taken a ton of hits/damage. I can see selling DK for sure with your rebuild though.

Neither do I but obviously the most value piece on my team. Outside of selling DK, you think these 4 firsts and 3 seconds in 2025 is enough to jump start this rebuild?

Never done a rebuild so I’m kinda confused.

I’m not sure I understand the point of selling off all your good players with the intent of collecting picks to re-roll and hopefully get guys just as good so your sorry team won’t be sorry anymore?

I would sell DK…when it comes to Lamar, my starting price is 2-3 1st and a young QB (a Bryce Young or something) but I’m holding until/unless I’m blown away
Team 1: 12 Team PPR, 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB/WR/TE; 23 man rosters (typical scoring, except 2 pts per completion)
QBs: Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa, Derek Carr
RBs: Jonathan Taylor, Alvin Kamara, Zack Moss, Tyrone Tracy
WRs: Brandon Aiyuk, Jaylen Waddle, Michael Pittman, Terry McLaurin, Diontae Johnson, Malachi Corley
TEs: Trey McBride, Ja’Tavion Sanders
Draft Picks Remaining: 16.11,17.2,18.11,19.2,20.11,21.2,22.11,23.2
