Rebuilding but trade for Aiyuk?

Team 3:
I drafted Harrison, Brian Thomas and McConkey with my first 3 picks but I have an offer on the table. It feels like the value is on the Aiyuk side but wanted to see what yall think.

I get Aiyuk
I give Javonte Williams, 2.01, 3.01 and my 25 2nd (probably early)

I feel like Aiyuk is a top 5 1st round pick value so this is pretty good.

I’m the next pick with MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Bowers, Worthy, Brooks, Thomas, McConkey, CW, Benson and Coleman taken.

But does it make sense in my build? I’d feel the need to flip him

Sure, you can flip him if you want. But having an elite receiver entering his prime isn’t a bad asset for a rebuilding team. Everything will very rarely line up on a perfect timeline, but if you consistently make +value moves, you’ll usually come out ahead.

How long do you want to be rebuilding? Isn’t a 2 year rebuild possible?

Yeah definitely hoping after the 25 draft I’ll be aiming the cannons

I accepted but I don’t think it’s as easy as this forum is making it. Aiyuks future is uncertain which really lowers his value.
What’s the rumor with him right now? Ive seen all sorts of stuff from Aiyuk or Deebo being traded.

This forum can't assess the liquidity of your league, but what Stone said was correct. A rebuild takes it's shape by consistently making the right moves on value over the long-term.

If Aiyuk is traded, he probably goes to a team with more opportunity (SF ranked last in pass attempts in 2023). If Deebo is traded, again, (presumably) more opportunity for Aiyuk.

Perhaps the uncertainty lowers his value right now - that's probably why you just acquired him at a price that this forum unanimously agreed you should accept and be thrilled about. Expect some fluctuation as you would with any asset, but I see very few paths to a worse situation.

This league is extremely trade happy for WRs. RBs are hard to trade because it’s a smart bunch that knows how they’re valued in the NFL (why I’ve been stuck with Williams and Achane)
