Move up for MHJ?

Team 3. 10tm SF.

Start: Q1 R2 W2 T1 SF1 F3

Give: 1.03 + pick 13 + 26 1st
Get: 1.01 (MHJ)

The 1.01 owner wants to stay top 3 and is trying to move back since he needs help all over his roster. We discussed the above trade and he's thinking about it. If I stayed then I'd prolly take Daniels or Nabers, and then a couple other WRs/RBs at 13 and 14. But...I just really want MHJ somewhere and this is prolly my best chance. Make the deal if I can or just stay and see how the draft unfolds?

If I end up with MHJ here, then I'd prolly try to move off another WR or two of mine to get younger a RB.

If he’s your guy, I think that’s a perfectly fair price to go and get him.

I guess it comes down to how big you view the gap is between MHJ and Nabers. For me, it’s not worth sacrificing the 2026 1st. Your team seems strong - it’s a fun ride when you can contend without sacrificing much future draft capital.

MHJ. I'd give up picks 3 and 13 for him.

You can definitely get another 2026 1st before that draft if need be.

For me, it’s not about ‘needing’ that 2026 pick, it’s about the inherent value of having that in your bank. Sure you can sell assets to get another one, but future 1sts are valuable as equity in trying to, for example, strengthen your RB room as your players age.
