I recently took over a rebuilding team in a 12 team single QB standard ppr league. My team is ok but I think I’m a few years or so off. My WRs are decent (Waddle and DJM are tops) but I have nothing at TE. I have the 1.1 and will be taking MH and the 1.2 will take Nabors.

At 1.3 do I take Bowers for need or Rome for value? I also have the 1.8.

Is this a TE Prem and if so what's the premium. If its a plus 1 TE Prem league I would lean Brock. Rome for anything else

I agree here, was debating the same decision in my 1qb non te premium and Rome is the pick after that landing spot for Bowers

In a rebuild: always for value. Always.

On a competitive team: almost, always for value. Rare exceptions.

Now, whether or not Odunze or Bowers is better value, that I'm not sure. But I would not let need play into it at all.

Quick thought exercise:
Say you think Odunze is more valuable than Nabers. And say that both perform to your expectations. It will be easier to replace the lower-valued player than the higher-valued player either with someone else on your roster, by trade, or by drafting. It's always harder to replace a better, more valuable player.

I’m a huge Bowers fan, but I take Rome in this scenario. When rebuilding you take the value over need.
