Orphan complete rebuild.. keep or trade 1.07?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Orphan complete rebuild.. keep or trade 1.07?

Postby WOATjohn » Tue Apr 23, 2024 6:50 am

SF/TEP starting 10
I gutted an orphan and only have Olave, Kirk, Charbonnet and Dotson worth anything.
I have a ton of picks and someone is trying to get my 1.07. I really like the top 7 prospects (3 QBs, 3 WRs and Bowers) so I really don’t think I want to without a huge overpay.

He’s mentioned trading his 25 1st and plus for it but I am not sure what a plus would be. He has Waddle, Addison, Downs and the 2.07 but that’s about all I’d be interested in.

Should I just hold?

Tell him what players and picks interest you and that he can make an offer if he wants.

Allow him to make offers as others have said, but the only player in that mix I'd be interested in as a rebuilder is Waddle. Maybe try and work something where you get Waddle and his 2025 1st for 1.07 and a mid to late 2nd or 2 in this year's draft. Could very well be too rich for the other manager's blood, but this is the time of year to press the issue if you're selling 2024 draft picks, especially in a rebuild.

I doubt you will get waddle for -07 even in a SF, I rather have waddle than the 1-07 myself. I hold what you got unless he hates waddle and wants rid of him. Addison not touching until I know the qb room there, downs not enough for 1-07. BUt as these guys have said always filed offers never hurts .

I would just hold. None of the players or picks you named will help much in a rebuild.

As for a trade for Waddle, do not add 2nds (which you desperately need) to the deal. If he'll do 1.07 for Waddle and the '25 1st, cool, but don't start adding to your side or you'll blow the "profit margin" on his overpay. :nono:
