2025 1st for 1.07

Postby laMONEY » Fri Apr 12, 2024 5:34 am

NEW POLL Looking to acquire the 1.07, I already have the 1.05 and the 1.08. I've been kind of looking at next years class and it seems pretty weak compared to this years. I only have 1 pick next year and it's this first that belongs to our leagues probably worst team owner. But his team has actually become kind of decent this offseason, and he's traded away all his capital so he seems to be going all out for the chip. With this in mind, I'm figuring I could maybe dump this 1st before that happens. A 1.07 may be a bottom half first, but I'm expecting my 2025 pick to turn into the 1.07 or worse at this point. Thanks

I think this team needs help at WR so I am keeping my 1.07. Next year looks to be RB heavy which you also need and another good reason to stand pat.
Team 1: 16 Team
QB's: Fields, Wentz,
RB: D. Harris, D. Montgomery, Kendre M.
WR: Chase, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Waller, J. Woods, Dulich, Mayer

Team 2: 12 Team SF 1ppr, Start 10
QB: Mahomes, Burrow, Watson
RB: Hall, Walker, Javonte, Pacheco, K Mitchell, Dobbins
WR: Godwin, JSN, Pittman, Pickens, Toney, DP Jones, S Moore
TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr
QB: AR, Watson, Young, Levis
RB: ETN, Walker, Pierce, Akers, Pacheco, Herbert, Warren, Kelley
WR: G. Wilson, Higgins, Godwin, Kirk, Bateman, Collins, Doubs, Chark, Shaheed,

I hope my poll is not confusing, or that I'm understanding this correctly, but I would be acquiring the 1.07 and not selling it. I agree that I need WR and next years class is pretty weak everywhere except RB. Does that change how you would vote this poll or am I not understanding lol

That seems fair (or slightly cheap) IMO. Your call. FWIW - I'd rather stand pat. But I agree that next year appears weaker than this one for SF - although better for 1QB.

One year we are going to stop making trades because we "think" that next year's class is stronger or weaker than this year's. I personally would not want to move my only 1st in a draft class for a 1.07 that I don't view as a premium pick.

Stand pat as in hold the 2025 1st? Just want to make sure this isn't confusing

Yeah. I get it on value but I don't really want to give up the 2.06.

Simply for context, the og owner of this first has herbert, lawrence, saquon, pollard, godwin, zay flowers, mclaurin, kittle, keenan allen, monty, ty boyd. It's old team but ready to compete, that is another reason I'm partially out on it but I want to know if this changes anything for you? Thanks

In a Superflex league, I want 1.07 on value here. 3QBs, 3WRs, and then all sorts of options (consensus is TE1 or QB4, but also potential for WR4 to land in a cush spot). Depending on how QB needy teams are or less savvy and RB starved they are, I can very easily see McCarthy or whichever RB Dallas drafts in the 2nd going earlier than any of us suspect and Odunze falling to 1.07.

Worst case. Trade the player post draft or pick closer to the draft for more than you paid.

Nope, the 1.07 isn’t attractive enough for me to enter a draft year with zero picks in round 1.
