Just moved:
Gardner Minshew (QB3 in a 1QB league)
And Damone Clark, who I fear may lose his job
For
Kyzir White, who I think is going to smash at MLB for a full season.
IDP Trade Thread
Re: IDP Trade Thread
Why do you think Clark will lose his job? (Not disagreeing, just curious as I have a few shares)

Re: IDP Trade Thread
clark was seeing about 60% of the snaps when van der esch was the starter and the only 100% LB in that defense. i guess that role will be kendricks' now. clark hasn't played a single 100% snaps game, he's a very good athlete but not great in coverage and in recognizing plays, hasn't improved much in his second season.
without knowing more info on the league, seems an alright trade for a LB upgrade.

Combined with some articles talking about his lack of development at the end of the season had me at least willing to explore options.
Kyzir was balling early last season, so also wanted to "buy low" on a guy I think has far more upside.

Interesting stuff. Thanks, both of you!

Re: IDP Trade Thread
In a 12 team tackle-heavy league, I just made the following trade
Gave: Jameson Williams, Kyle Hamilton
Received: DK Metcalf
Won the championship in this league last year. My WR group (can start 3-4) now includes: AJ Brown, Garrett Wilson, Brandon Aiyuk, DK Metcalf, Xavier Worthy, Marquise Brown, Josh Palmer and a few low odds dart throws. Though Hamilton is widely viewed as the #1 safety in dynasty, I expect to be able to replace his production more easily.

No DB is worth that type of downgrade at WR. Smash accept, good deal.

Re: IDP Trade Thread
couple of otc trades in a league where i'm stacked at DE (start 11 IDPs):
sent: byron young, 4.14
received: 4.03 (otc - luke mccaffrey)
last day 2 WR left on the board, price was alright, young had a good rookie season but it won't be as easy now that donald is gone.
sent: harold landry, gabriel davis
received: 4.06 (otc - isaac guerendo), 5.02
this was a bit of an overkill probably, but landry isn't a near 100% snaps player anymore (well, he wasn't last season) and has been very boom or bust, which is not uncommon for the position, but i like my chances of replacing him on the cheap. and davis doesn't see my lineup, and if he did it'd be one of the week he puts up a goose egg. i like guerendo's upside and i get an extra dart throw, for two players that didn't have much market and didn't do much for me.

1st deal was solid value IMO. Second was meh, Landry should play more a full year removed from his ACL and Gabe may be Gabe, but even that is probably more valuable than a 4th and 5th haha.

i tried moving davis for late 3rd/early 4th and no dice. but yeah, it was a bit impulsive between frustration and boredomMenace2010 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 5:21 am 1st deal was solid value IMO. Re: IDP Trade Thread
Our draft isn't for another couple months, but I'm debating accepting this offer:
Rookie Pick 18th overall for Micah McFadden
It feels like the default here is to punt IDPs for anything else of value, but these defensive players can win you championships... and if you want to replace them you have to get lucky on the waiver wire or hit on a draft pick.
We start 11 defenders, and we had 13 LBs in the top 57 players in 2023. Thoughts on that offer with that context?

Re: IDP Trade Thread
If I'm moving pick 18, I want a better LB than McFadden. I'd prefer at least 2 Rookie LBs and I think there are at least 16 OPs I'd value by a descent margin over a mid-range LB.
