25 1st (mid-late) and a 26 1st (early) for the 1.04? 1 QB

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

25 1st (mid-late) and a 26 1st (early) for the 1.04? 1 QB

25 1st (mid-late. Defending champs pick) and a 26 1st (most likely early as he blew up entire roster)

25 1st (mid-late) and a 26 1st (early) for the 1.04? 1 QB

Postby Viking386 » Fri Mar 22, 2024 11:02 am

For team in signature. We have an owner who had an older team and he has completely blown it up to the studs and he is going hard for his 26 1st in which I own. His team is by far now the worst team and he only owns the 1.04, 1.05 and 1.09 in the first this year and only 1 25 first which is his own so probably the 1.01. Where I'm getting at is, he would have to hit on quite a bit to make a crazy turn around by the 26 draft. I know its two full seasons of play and you shouldn't look into the future because so much changes but I find it really hard to think that 26 1st will be anything worse than the 1.03.

The offer here is a 25 1st which is the defending champs 1st and he still has the best team by a wide margin so a 25 1st (mid-late) pick and his 26 1st (early) for the 1.04.

My hold up here is I'm just not a fan of this draft of course that can change once it happens but the 1.04 is probably a Bowers. Not a needy pick with McBride already.

Would you guys take the for sure 1.04 or hold off and let that 26 1st gain more value as he has nothing but a roster of back ups and only 4 future 1st before the 2026 rookie draft?

In a 1qb I’ll just take the 1.04, if he doesn’t have the 1st there’s no reason for him to not acquire some talent and possibly finish middle of the pack in 2025. If it was next years pick that would be different.

His starting roster is Levis, Jk Dobbins, Hassan Haskins, Sky Moore, Metchie, Musgrave, Moore and Wandale. With only 3 first this year and his own first next year Im not quite sure how he turns it around to do so. Unless he hits massively on every pick,

Seems this is in heavy favorite of taking the 1.04. Maybe Im just too down on the class right now. Maybe the draft will change that

It seems like you know which option you prefer and are just looking for reassurance. (To be fair, I agree with you and would not trade those future picks for the 1.04) Go with your gut, if you don't like the 1.04 at that price then hold off, your future firsts aren't going anywhere. You can always make a deal later if you change your mind

26 is too far out to predict with any certainty. I'd project it as mid. So late 25 first, mid 26 first for 1.04. You are looking at the best WR outside of Harrison, Nabers, Odunze.

It's a fair offer, and I can see the appeal either way.

In Superflex I’d agree. In 1qb a mid/late 25 1st and mid 26 1st isn’t close to this years 1.04 to me. There’s also a good chance someone top 3 takes McBride in this format.

1.04 by a bit. This class is stacked at the top.

Is 2025’s? ‘26’s? I’m prolly in the minority here but future picks never excite me like the current draft’s picks do. *shrugs*
