Jordan Love Trade Offer

Hey all, so I am in a 12 tm PPR Superflex Dynasty, starter details below, and we have 1 owner who is in desperate need of a QB2, and really wants Love most. I am very fortunate to have a deep QB roster and am the defending champ. I am struggling to come to terms with this guy and would really appreciate your input on some solid offers to build.

His Players I Like: Kamara, Aaron Jones, Tyreek, Deebo/Aiyuk (He's a big 9ers fan so pricier) Davante, DJ Moore, Nacua, Sutton, Shakir

First off congrats on your title. You have a deep QB stable and in a 12tm league that is like liquid gold. I would consider Love to really be your QB1 so you should be careful dealing him and if you are ok with it, you should get max value for sure especially if you are ok not getting a QB back. Has the other owner proposed any offers to you already? It be nice to see where his head is at for this deal.

He offered me Deebo and Davante for Love and Nico Collins... I was honestly insulted. I Bought both Love and Collins for cheaaaap, but that's because I looking ahead a year +. I feel like he is certainly undervaluing Love and refuses to own Carr, and doesn't really trust Mayfield. I really don't know if he is trying to play me, because I traded away Mahomes last year for probably a loss in value (Carr, Pollard + WR depth) and the league was PISSED saying I gave the league away in the trade.. I went from 11th to 1st, the guy I gave Mahomes to got 5th. I think he thinks he can play me, so I want to send him something to reset his value perspective.

What picks does he have? Love should easily net you 1.02 if you want it.

As far as players you have completely enough bench depth in RB and WR so what you are slightly lacking is a WR1 or RB1 that is an every week starter (set it and forget it).

Unfortunately he only has the 3.07, I bet he'd love to throw me a top 5 pick if he had it. I totally agree that my main target is a true Stud WR1/RB1. Pacheco scares me now with a likely much better KC receiving corps in Brown, 2nd yr Rice, Kelce and whatever hopeful XWR they likely draft. Pollard is in a time share with Spears most likely but at least I own them both.

What are your thoughts on Ayuik? The owner is set on Ayuik being traded so he doesn't care about him as much as a non-49er and I think he's a stud on the right team. (Falcons, Chargers, maybe Steelers, come to mind)

I think I will add Mayfield and Watson to the block and see if I can acquire a RB1 or WR1 that way, because I'd love to hold Love. I won't rush into anything right now and see how the weekend plays out. Thanks and I will update more!

There you go. When you are in a position of holding a ton of starting QBs in SF, you don’t sell them off without an overpay. Eventually the QB needy teams will come a callin and then they can make the “deal with the devil” (which is you)

FWIW - I'm with you on Carr. Have him as my QB3 in SF. But we are mostly alone on an island on this POV. I've found the right move on Carr is to hold and enjoy the production. He doesn't carry (appropriate) trade value IMO.

I like the idea of moving Watson or Baker instead of Love.

A couple of things:

1) Yes, you're deep at QB. But you're not deep at great, reliable QBs. IMO, Carr & Mayfield are QB3s -- guys you're fine playing if need be but not players you want to rely on. Watson has a HUGE range of outcomes. And none of the rest matter. So I wouldn't be in a rush to trade away any of your QBs, let alone Love.

2) Collins is not a throw-in, as you know. Given how waaaaaaay low his initial offer was, I'd probably reply with something like, "I think we're way off. Not sure I'd do the trade for one of the two players you asked for let alone both. Happy to hear other ideas!"

3) Unless he's willing to part with at least three players from your list, I don't think I'm entertaining any offer from Love. And Tyreek, Aiyuk/DJM/Nacua needs to be one of the 2nd players and Kamara/Jones one of the third. So something like Tyreek, Aiyuk, Kamara for Love. Honestly, even then I'd hesitate. But that's worth considering, IMO. If you don't think the other owner would even sniff an offer like that, then better of simply saying thanks and moving on.
