Sit tight at 1.05 or try to move up for MHJ?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Sit tight at 1.05 or try to move up for MHJ?

Postby Palmtreez » Tue Feb 27, 2024 2:55 pm

32 Team PPR 2x Player Copies
QB 2RB 2WR TE 2FLEX 22 Roster Spots - players of note below.
Purdy Tua
Bijan ETN Achane Charbonnet Tank
Chase AJB Lamb London Addison Reed QJ
Kelce Ferguson Fant
Currently have the 1.09 and 2.27 for 2024 draft, equate to 1.05A and 2.14A no picks in ‘25, my own 1-4 in ‘26.

Currently have offers out for Addison and my ‘26 first to move up to 1.01 or 1.02.

Wanted to get other opinions on packaging 1.09 or Addison with other assets to try to acquire MHJ.

What’s the point of moving up from 1.2 to 1.1 if it’s a 2 player copy league? I’m clearly missing something

One. You obviously have an insane team for a 32 team league. Like if you aren't a perennial champion, the Fantasy God's hate you.

Two. I'm fine with you doing a 2-for-1 like this. Depth is important in this size league, but even after this deal two of Achane, MHJr, and London are going to be riding the pine most weeks.

It’s essentially a 2 16 team leagues, with 2 players copies, the 1.01 and 1.02 could both draft a copy of MHJ / insert player.

Got cold feet and revoke the Addison + 26 1st.
Sitting at 1.09, I was hoping one of Odunze, Nabers, or Bowers falls. If one of Thomas Jr / Franklin / Mitchell rocket up the board, figure that would be a consolation prize

You can get Nabers at 5. I'd stand pat. But if you want to move Addison/1st to get 1.01 I'd be okay with that too.

It’s my fault, I read your initial post wrong. I thought you were trying to move up from 1.2 to 1.1. You’re simply trying for 1.1 or 1.2, that’s makes way more sense.

I’d be okay with Addison + 26 1st for 1.1 or 1.2 personally, but I get the hesi

My guess is usually those leagues are of 24 (12 teams / 2 copies) with separate conferences, only to play against each other in the final round(s) of the playoffs Thus why the second copy roster.

I'd move Addison and the first for MHJ. Otherwise I'd try to move up to ensure getting Nabers.

Ah, so 2 player copies but based on conference/ other team lineups, not each team has the second player available to draft?

One team can’t have both copies, nothing preventing two teams in one conference from owning the same player. It’s set up to mirror the NFL, which would be cola in the 32 teams.

Currently waiting to hear back on a trade offered for the 1.08 in exchange for QJ 2.27 (basically 2.14) my own ‘26 1st - 4th round picks

Correct. Here is a link to my MIRRORS league on MFL so you can see what one looks like: https://www47.myfantasyleague.com/2023/home/25845#0https://www47.myfantasyleague.com/2023/home/25845#0

It was the second dynasty I ever joined, so I'm sticking with it. It is a dual copy league, 24 teams total, 12 in each conference.
Like the poster before this mentioned it's intended to resemble the NFL with two "Conferences" each with two divisions though. It's fun because in the finals when the final team from each conference meets, often times both teams will have some of the same players (ie: CMC, Tyreek) which cancel each other out.
