This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.02 vs AJ Brown or Waddle?

Postby hockeyBjj » Mon Feb 26, 2024 4:51 pm

Hi guys, would you trade either AJ Brown or Waddle for the 1.02? Non superflex so assume Marvin Harrison would be gone.

My team is middle of the pack, could go far next year if I don’t get injury killed again but it’s not like it’s a win now or rebuild type decision.

Just in a vaccum, would you trade AJ Brown or Waddle for the 1.02 or stay put?

Maybe I'm overvaluing these guys, but I'd prefer them straight up to Nabers. I have high hopes, but essentially the best case scenario is Nabers is elite in the NFL. AJB is elite, so tons of risk makijg the trade with the only benefit being age. Waddle is the next tier down for me, that's a bit closer. Depends on if you think the 2022 or 2023 Waddle is more like what we can expect most years. Nabers is likely to be the Alpha wherever he goes, but even elite prospects bust.

I’ve got them AJB 1.02 then Waddle, so I’d trade Waddle for 1.02

I would definitely take Nabers over Waddle.
AJ Brown is valued over the Nabers, but not by a lot.
I have AJB as my WR6 in dynasty, and Nabers as my WR8 right now.
Waddle is my WR11.

I’d take Nabers over waddle, no reason to trade brown for Nabers tho IMO.

Waddle is not commanding a lot on the market, I haven’t seen anything as high as the 1.2 so that’s a good return for Waddle.

I wouldn’t for AJ but I would roll the dice on Waddle for the 1.02.
Cheers

What do people think is the value/pick equivalent on the players? For me -

Waddle = 1.04
Brown = 1.02

AJB > 1.02 but slightly below 1.01. To me, Waddle is = 1.02, I get Nabers is an elite prospect, but plenty of elite prospects bust and Waddle has already hit back-to-back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons to start his career... I'm not taking anything less than 1.02 for Waddle in a 1QB format.

AJB>1.02=Waddle

Waddle should still be worth around the same as 1.02. Quick reminder on Jaylen Waddle - selected 6th overall by Miami Dolphins. Has receiving seasons of 1015, 1356, and 1014 yards. Is behind one of the most dynamic playmakers of all time, who has openly said he's retiring after this contract (we will see). Plays for one of the best offensively minded coaches in the NFL.

I have a few spots where I have Waddle and I would have a really hard time rerolling even if I was guaranteed Nabers. I also have 1.03(SF) a few spots and not sure I'd trade that straight for Waddle yet either.

are you competing? if so give me either player over the pick, hold

are you in rebuild? if so I'd try to get something decent on top of the 1.02 for AJB. Waddle I'd send straight up

If I am in win now I hold onto AJ Brown and trade away waddle for the second pic. If I’m in rebuild, I trade AJ Brown for the second pic and a little piece on top.

Brown I wouldn’t consider. Waddle is close, I’d almost like to see nabers destination first. I know talent wins out but I think they both are similarly talented. If he goes to a good situation I’d roll the dice.

Thanks all. I sent him the offer for Waddle. We'll see what he does. He asked about it before

Also not a major issue, but it would save me $14 in cap, so I could probably get something like a Diontae Johnson or Tyler Lockett in the very limited free agent draft (Kinda like real NFL, good free agents are so few and far between that any guy you'd actually like to have in your flex or better gets way overvalued)

Update- He accepted. Nabers and Odunze please, please fantasy gods give them good landing spots
