1.01 for Burrow

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.01 for Burrow

Postby SVF96 » Thu Feb 22, 2024 8:46 am

Looking for advice on Team 2 in my signature. Second year orphan team with not much. I made some moves to get Fields, Collins, and the 1.01 this off-season already. I had been set on drafting Caleb and MHJ with 1.01 and 1.02, but someone has offered Burrow straight up for my 1.01 (which seems like a smash accept to me). They have “assured” me they want MHJ at 1.01. This gives me the opportunity to add Burrow and Caleb, at 1.02, to a weak QB room, but I am torn on if it’s not better to stay put and get Caleb and MHJ. I have also looked into adding a cheaper vet QB like Carr to help at QB and then keep both caleb and MHJ in play. Please let me know your thoughts on the smartest way to build my roster up and any other suggested moves to help continue this rebuild!

Meh. Fine on value. But I'd rather shop the pick at draft time for a better return. This isn't an overpay so why do it now?

Smash accept. There's certainly a possibilty you *might* get a little more later -- and a greater possibility that this offer won't still be there. Take Burrow and be happy, IMO.

I'd tell others to accept the offer.

However, I'm not a believer that Burrow is and will continue to be a fantasy beast, so I personally would be happier with the 1.01. But I acknowledge that's my personal preference and not the consensus value.

I have burrow over the 1.01 by quite a bit, so I would easily do this trade. If they go MHJ, even better for you!

Then make the trade Burrow for 1.02, just to be sure. This would prevent any chicanery !

The problem with this for the other guy is what if he accepts the 1.02, but SVF96 then trades the 1.01 for a haul ... and the new owner of 1.01 takes CW. If I'm giving up a QB most value as a T6 dynasty QB in SF, I'm not doing it for less than 1.01

In this situation, I think SVF96 is going to have to accept the risk.

Burrow > 1.01, so I'd make that trade.
