Sure hope he can eek out a living on that guaranteed $14.12M he’ll be making this coming season. Poor guy.Anteaters wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 9:30 amYour words, not mine.killer_of_giants wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 9:23 amso they're a bit cuntish, but since there are bigger and richer cnuts, then it's ok?
In the end, I'm happy to say I think Brandon Aiyuk is a talented player, seems like a good guy, and I hope he finds the contract and team that he's searching for.
As it relates to fantasy football, I'd be happy to see him go to a different team where he could enjoy a more Alpha-touch role. If he received 150+ targets a season, he'd deliver a Top 10 WR season for fantasy.
Miami? Alongside Tyreek and Hill, no thanks... I want him to land in a situation where he can be the alpha or a target hog beta with a solid QB. ARI, BUF, LAC, JAX, or DAL (I get he'd be behind Lamb, but who else they throwing it to...). Those are the dream destinations to me.
I could get behind the ideas for ARI and LAC, and maybe BUF. Not sure JAX or DAL would be an improvement from a fantasy perspective. Real world, almost every spot would improve the team.Menace2010 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 4:27 pmMiami? Alongside Tyreek and Hill, no thanks... What about WAS? They will be drafting a QB and adding a stud WR only improves the chances of success. I don't think McLaurin/Dotson is enough.Anteaters wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 4:39 pmI could get behind the ideas for ARI and LAC, and maybe BUF. I agree that Aiyuk+TMc is a whole world better than TMc+Notson.tstafford wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 4:44 pmWhat about WAS? You've gotta understand what you're saying - if a team trades for Aiyuk, they're going to have to commit to giving him a top-market extension.
(Except that SF has outright set a price that other teams have been unwilling to pay so far)
I agree. Miami is a difficult fit from a salary cap perspective.mild wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 7:11 pmYou've gotta understand what you're saying - if a team trades for Aiyuk, they're going to have to commit to giving him a top-market extension.
The Dolphins in particular - who are still trying to hammer out an extension for Tua - are already committed to 31 million Tyreek Hills in 2024 and 2025, and then 56 million Tyreek Hills in 2026.
Now I know what you're thinking: that's a lot of Tyreek Hills. And you would be right.
Arizona are in the drivers seat to have a cheap Marvin Harrison Jr. for the next 4 years. The need doesn't fit here, unless they trade down and deem Aiyuk a better path.
The report is a mid-1st + a player.
