and you don't find it a bit rich to sign up for an immoral workplace, rake in the dough, and then complain that it's immoral?
Less so than team owners complaining about having to pay players or pay to build their teams' stadiums.

Your words, not mine.

In the end, I'm happy to say I think Brandon Aiyuk is a talented player, seems like a good guy, and I hope he finds the contract and team that he's searching for.

As it relates to fantasy football, I'd be happy to see him go to a different team where he could enjoy a more Alpha-touch role. If he received 150+ targets a season, he'd deliver a Top 10 WR season for fantasy.

Sure hope he can eek out a living on that guaranteed $14.12M he’ll be making this coming season. Poor guy.

Aiyuk unfollows 49ers on social media.
With the draft coming up, where are the best landing spots for my man Aiyuk?
I'm thinking Miami or Arizona

Miami? Alongside Tyreek and Hill, no thanks... I want him to land in a situation where he can be the alpha or a target hog beta with a solid QB. ARI, BUF, LAC, JAX, or DAL (I get he'd be behind Lamb, but who else they throwing it to...). Those are the dream destinations to me.

I could get behind the ideas for ARI and LAC, and maybe BUF. Not sure JAX or DAL would be an improvement from a fantasy perspective. Real world, almost every spot would improve the team.

What about WAS? They will be drafting a QB and adding a stud WR only improves the chances of success. I don't think McLaurin/Dotson is enough.

I agree that Aiyuk+TMc is a whole world better than TMc+Notson.

I think WAS would be at worst a push for his fantasy value. Likely it would be at least a small improvement.

You've gotta understand what you're saying - if a team trades for Aiyuk, they're going to have to commit to giving him a top-market extension.

The Dolphins in particular - who are still trying to hammer out an extension for Tua - are already committed to 31 million Tyreek Hills in 2024 and 2025, and then 56 million Tyreek Hills in 2026.

Now I know what you're thinking: that's a lot of Tyreek Hills. And you would be right.

Arizona are in the drivers seat to have a cheap Marvin Harrison Jr. for the next 4 years. The need doesn't fit here, unless they trade down and deem Aiyuk a better path.

Such a non story.

Aiyuk is under contract.
Team can franchise him next year.

He is going nowhere unless the team decides to move him which they have no reason to at this point.

It’s not a side, it’s called a contract.

San Fran has bigger issues downstream than a player under contract unfollowing them on social media.

He is a good player with zero leverage.

(Except that SF has outright set a price that other teams have been unwilling to pay so far)

There is at least some fuel to this fire. The FO isn't putting the phone down when teams call.

I agree. Miami is a difficult fit from a salary cap perspective.

With MHJr being on a rookie deal and Murray's deal looking like a good deal as far as QB deals go, I could see a fit there. Front load a deal for Aiyuk where a lot of the money counts in 2025, while Arizona still have a lot of room. Then go into 2024 giving Murray the sort of receiver set-up Burrow was given in Cincy, or Tua was given in Miami. I'm not saying it's likely, but it is a great fit and it is very possible. The biggest sticking point I see is SF demanding too much in return. I think the market for a disgruntled WR is set at around a 2nd. If SF holds out for a 1st, that could kill any deal.

The report is a mid-1st + a player.

Hard to see him getting moved at that price, but I think once we have the draft rolling, we might easily see it at a late 1st or even early 2nd - if SF likes who they're seeing on the board at that present pick.
