I love Mike Evans but he's always good for a bad drop or two.

I think Hurts has peaked. For FF, he was buoyed by 15 rushing TD's, but he's just not been that good this year, and I think in general, we've seen the high water mark for this offense.

I think Sirianni is getting canned after this performance.

Tomlin is a very good coach. The Steelers played tough, but the Bills simply have such a massive advantage at the most important position. The Steelers have a decent roster, they just don't have a franchise QB. They will be looking to upgrade that position ASAP, becuase it's the difference between a 9 win team and an 11-12 win team.

What can Pittsburgh do to upgrade the qb position realistically? They are not a big spending FA kinda team. Just seems like another year of Pickett,Rudolph and a cheap vet on the horizon.

So...

5 of the 6 home teams won in the "Super" Wild Card round this year. The lone exception? The hapless Cowboys who can't win a playoff game to save their lives.

And similarly, all of the games were borderline unwatchable, due to the horrendous play. Only Detroit/L.A. was worth your viewing time. Can't at all be what the NFL had hoped for in terms of viewership, but when you put out a crap product...

I can only hope things improve moving forward. What we saw this Weekend was anything but "Super". It was an embarrassment.

The Eagles were awful. They missed their window, and are in free fall. They just paid Hurts a boat load, and I don't think he has the talent to carry them, on that type of deal. The D is old and falling apart. Sirianni may get canned for this back half of the year.

We can look back at the greatness, now though.

Well, considering how many bad games we watched during the regular season, it's no surprise that there were some bad playoff game.

I felt like 14 teams making the playoffs were too many.
Only 4/5 teams had a legitimate shot at making the Super bowl out of 14 teams.

Yep. It's watered down. They got 17 games and more playoff games, for more money. The old format was better, but the new format makes them richer.

In a parallel universe, only 12 teams make the playoffs, in which case the packers are sitting home and Dallas has a bye. Although some of the games were boring this weekend, they served their purpose and weeded out the pumpkins. Besides the Rams of course, they are worthy.

If I was the NFL though, I wouldn’t advertise this as “super” wildcard weekend. More like the prelims
