Mahomes owners would consider trading him away once he value recovers, after a good season.
For me it's like... as long as the rest of my roster is solid (and it is on that team) then I've no reason to move him?

I'm going to compete every year he's in his prime, and do my best to surround him with good talent.

I view it as like owning prime Aaron Rodgers. There's always a chance the stars will align and he'll go on an MVP-level league tear. Who's betting against him on any given off-season?

Rashee Rice's rookie season has been twice as good as Davante's... just sayin'

That's the most productive rookie WR in Reid's tenure as a HC.

Better than Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Tyreek Hill

Curious in the context of this thread, some comments, and rookie fever about to kick off what people think of my trade for Mahomes now. This was early in the season and considered a win then.

14 team 2 QB PPR 1.5 TEP Devy - 2RB, 3WR, TE, 2 Flex

Bowers, Nabers, CJ Baxter and 26 devy 1st and 2nd
For
Mahomes

Nice to have Mahomes, but he didn’t win me a championship this year - came in 2nd. Though, I was projected to win. On the season, Purdy outscored him by 11 points and he beat Howell by 15. Both of which are on my team. I even picked up Flacco who outscored him championship week.

I am not sure what I think now after the fantasy season. Bowers and Nabers could both be gone by pick 10 of the NFL draft. Baxter looked decent as a freshman.

Not sure if it’s easy to put yourself in the league settings, but what do current Mahomes owners think? Are you dealing for that? If you want Mahomes, are you paying this?

In a 14 team 2 QB league Mahomes should be borderline untouchable.

I think that's really, really cheap given the format.

As I said I don’t know how I feel still, mostly because I didn’t win but partly because I could have spent something less for another QB. But any top tier one would cost a lot regardless.

Ultimately, I think you have to have an extremely strong team all the way through to warrant trading for him (or Allen, Burrow, etc). Your starters/depth can get hammered pulling it off. In my case 14 teams and 10 total starters really strains all positions.

This is true trying to buy any top tier player that isn’t a tier up/down trade. My partner was rebuilding and didn’t want a QB back to score them points in the process.

Remember when Pat Mahomes had the worst year of his career, throwing for over 4100 yards and finishing as the QB8 and people started making threads about selling him and getting out whilst the getting was good?

Remember when he won a Superbowl throwing touchdowns to Juju Smith Schuster and Marques Valdes Scantling and Skyy Moore anyway?
Remember he was going to catch Brady’s 7 rings?
Remember when you thought posting this was a good idea?

Look what you've done, man :boohoo:

4 Superbowl appearances in a 6 year career with 2 wins already and now a chance for his 3rd.

This legitimately might be the Michael Jordan of the NFL.
