IF AZ gets 1.02, I don't see them taking a WR. They will trade back, IMO. Even if it's only 1 spot. That pick is too valuable to take a WR there.

But with a bad QB, you throw it long and then really long, when you need 2 yards and have a solid rushing attack?

No real down field shots to Pickens, either tonight. The Mitch/Kenny experience is a hard one for these WR's. Pickens will still end of with decent numbers as a 22 year old, by seasons end. I wish he could get a decent QB who can throw downfield. The Chiefs taking Skyy over him is baffling, given his skill set. I guess MVS was the better option.

I'm watching this game, and thinking, "They canned Canada, and this is what the new offense looks like?" Was yelling the exact same thing at my TV FF. Guess they were hoping to get a PI call on those downfield balls when all they needed was 2-yards to keep the drive alive?!

Indefensible. The Steelers aren't as good as their record indicates, and tonight they absolutely gave this game away. A night when the defense couldn't save the offense from themselves. And I don't even like Pittsburgh as a Seattle fan.

You run on 3rd and 2. And then if you feel you need to run play action on 4th down (assuming you didn't convert on 3rd down) fine. To let a terrible QB like Trubisky throw twice in that situation just makes no sense at all.

Pickens is so hard for me to judge. His overall year numbers are boosted from Diontae being out. In games they both play, Pickens would be on pace for like 750 yards over 17 games. Slightly worse or equal to his rookie year.

I mean, Pickens numbers are close to Garrett Wilson's. Put Pickens in a situation, even with a bad QB, where he's the 1 all year. If Pickens had a QB who could throw the deep ball, and back shoulder fade, deep crossers, etc. with any consistency, he'd be incredible. He does need a QB who can threaten the deep areas, of the field, though. The short stuff he can do, as we saw tonight, but it doesn't succeed with any relevance if you can't push the ball down the field.

If Pickens were out, how good would Diontae be (at this stage of his career?) IDK. Both take targets from each other, but I am not so sure Diontae woul have put up that game vs Cleveland. Pickens is 22, and he's better than last year, clearly. The Steelers QB situation stinks, and he's still putting up decent numbers, but they just can't really maximize his skill set, with their QB room, sadly.

He's a very good player, at what he does, but they don't have the QB to really take advantage of it. I think Diontae could still be relevant, with a better QB, too. The Steelers have 2 good WR's, with complimentary skill sets. They have a QB room that can't maximize either.

It’s bad but there’s starter quality QBs that aren’t given a shot. Flacco shoulda been a starter, Minshew should be a starter, hell Carson Wentz should probably be a starter somewhere.

Weird that you'd choose Ridder to complain about, though I do get it and I agree he's holding this offense back.

I'd have gone with the classics, y'know... Zach Wilson... Mac Jones... Kenny Pickett... Bryce Young...
