Najee in Dynasty

Everyone has been making it out like Najee is nearly a dead asset in dynasty. His value has bounced back a little bit since the bye (same thing happened last year). How bad is his outlook going forward? Obviously, it looks like he will never hit that elite ceiling again everyone once thought, but does he still project as a decent RB3/flex kinda guy? It seems like it to me, but all I hear on the streets is how trash he is.

There is a reason he refused to run any sort of 40 pre draft, the guy has legit 4.7- 4-8 speed. The only thing keeping him starting is Tomlins foolish loyalty.

I own him and Warren in my salary cap league and feel completely stuck. Although they are both on cheap contracts, they have no trade value. It's just better to hold and use them when forced to. Of course now it's nearly impossible to know which one to start making it even worse.

I can't see why anyone would trade for Najee. He doesn't help a contender as much as guys like Monty, Mixon or Conner (who can all be had reasonably cheap from non-contenders). And he doesn't help non-contenders because I see little reason to believe he's going to be anything different in the future. What's the roster construction where Najee is a desirable trade target?

He's a TD dependent RB moving forward. He has one Top 24 weekly finish in games without scoring a TD.

Better than some of the alternatives at RB you could start there out of desperation, but he's mostly name value and no substance at this point.

People overrate wear on RB anyway.

Najee problem is that he doesn't have the juice, the Steelers OL isn't great and Warren does have the juice.

He may not be old, but he's not getting any faster/more agile either, so it looks all downhill from here

There is a video clip floating around online where somebody split screened Najee and Big Ben both coming around the end on a run and I swear to god they are both running the same speed. Wish I could find it.

He needs to be on a good team to produce, otherwise he doesn’t get enough goal line carries. He’s a big back with decent vision, but he’s not a top 10 guy by any means, more RB2 or flex range. I actually just packaged him in a trade to get me DK a sim not overly high on the Steelers O so his 1-2 year window looks rough.

He’s of the worst you could do, but he won’t win you a league.
