Ah, OK. Musgrave didn't play much in college due to injuries, it's a concern, lack of production/experience, and durability. I think the offense is in it's infant stage, with almost all players being inexperienced, behind an injured OL. However Musgrave, in most other situations/teams, wouldn't be starting. So have to take the good with the bad, there.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 9:26 pmI agree but there seemed to be talk earlier in this thread about him being a guy who won’t put it together and has been erratic.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 8:52 pmI thought that the question was whether he was worth a late first in NON TEP, though? It's not close right now, he's not, and I roster the guy. He's got potential, and has flashed, but he's nowhere near a first yet.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 8:32 pm I think maybe we’re being a little too harsh on Luke. Look how long it takes most tight ends to get going. 3 years? He’s already flashing and it’s not like he doesn’t have the draft capital and insane measurables.
His offense is dysfunctional and he didn’t even play his last year in college. Maybe it’s LaPorta looking like an A lister rookie of the year but Musgrave has shown really nice open field ability and he’s a big in-line body. Plenty capable of TE1 by year 2.
I still think Pitts is going to be better, he's still only 23. Giving up on a TE too early is dangerous, no doubt. I mean, Hock didn't really get going until he went to Minny, and got a better situation. Plenty of time for Musgrave to improve. He's really athletic, and I think he's got big play potential. He's a weapon, no doubt.
