Activation Dilemma

Ok so I’m currently 9th place (outta 10). Traded my 2024 first for JJ so now I want to make this 1st as late as possible.

This week I have my bye week hell plus injuries. I can optimize my lineup by promoting Kincaid from Taxi or start Logan Thomas. I also could promote Shaheed from taxi too to replace London (who is out this week) or I have to start Mooney as WR2. I have droppable active roster guys like: Mitchell, Taysom Hill, ARob, and a Defense (MIA). I have 3 players that will be coming off IR soon, JJ, K Herbert, Freiermuth that are for sure keepers so I need to make room for all them.

Is it worth it to activate Kincaid over Logan T for this week and/or Shaheed over Mooney just to get a potential bump and try to win another match in week 8?

My opponent this week is only a 7 pt projected favorite

I gave CeeDee + 2024 first
I got JJ + 2024 first.

Right now he is tied for 3rd… so that would be 1.08 or so.

Activating one of the two still gives you room to drop three others once the IR options are back. If you activate both, you will have an extra cut. I think Kincaid gives you thr biggest weekly bump at a tough position the rest of the season so of the two, Kincaid for me.

Pulling cute moves like this always seems to blow up in my face so I just play my game and stick to my plan; to wit, JJ was drafted at 2.01 in every league I was in the year he came out. You said you were in 9th I believe?

Yep I’m in 9th by record but 110 points for out of the last playoff spot. The 4th spot of based on total points not record.

I'd want to make as few moves like this as possible. Roster spots are valuable.

What about promoting Kincaid and starting both Kincaid/Thomas? That way you only start 2WRs. Shaheed isn't that great an option. This kind of hedges the bet. And I'd rather have Kincaid promoted (if anyone) vs. Shaheed.

I have to start 2 WRs and the only active roster WRs I have this week for my WR 2 is OBJ or Mooney. Everyone else is on a bye or hurt. If not either of them, I was thinking promoting Shaheed or I can pick up Demario Douglas on waivers tomorrow morning.

I think this is what I’m going to try to do (light bulb just went off).

Ther is a 3rd place team rolling out Otton this week and he he is in the thick of the hunt. He only has Waller and Otton. I will trade him Logan Thomas for a pick.

Then I will promote Kincaid and start him this week. Then I can grab Douglas off waivers and start him too.
