Too Much for Puka?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Too Much for Puka?

Postby kellysheroes » Fri Sep 29, 2023 1:53 pm

Trade 2 1st's which will be late for Puka and Mike Mayer from LVR
I figure since the picks will be late and Rookie Picks are always crap shots, might as well secure something guaranteed with them.

I would pass here. There is a very good chance the picks are worth more on the market come the offseason than the pair you are bringing in. This seems very pricey.

Easy pass. Those picks will appreciate in value the longer you hold them. Draft fever hits hard in the off-season and I think they could net better than Nacua and Mayer.

so honestly, at the rate Puka is going... because hes looking like a WR1 and if not a WR2 for the next 7 to 9 yrs; someone will accept 2 picks in the 1.10 to 1.14 range for him... on top of that I'm acquiring Mayer how was a low 1st to mid 2nd in most drafts this yr.
Plus factor in I get the production of Puka right now while I'm making a push for the Chip
Baring a season ending injury, I would not accept those picks next yr.

you're kinda paying ceiling price for him, but i don't hate it. if he keeps popping up with kupp back in and puts up a high end WR2 season, you wouldn't get him for two late 1sts, let alone with meyer added on.

value *now* is with the picks, but i like the gamble of that not being the case at the end of the season.

Thank you, I know the 2 picks seems like a LOT... but the kid is a stud baring injury. He'll be worth 1.01 plus at this rate to most owners. Glad I pulled the trigger on this one

Pass, though I am glad to see Puka's value continue to climb.

I bought Puka after week 2 for a late 25 1st in a 14 team SF league.
Most people told me at that time that I overpaid for Puka.

I agree here, wouldn’t you have paid that a few years ago for Kupp easily? I’d pay that
