Najee for Laporta?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Najee for Laporta?

Postby Njpell » Wed Sep 20, 2023 4:14 pm

I’m worried about Najee value totally tanking. He looks terrible in first two weeks. Would you do a one to one trade for Sam LaPorta. Or is that still an overpay? This is NOT TE tpremium league. But I can use some depth at TE.

If not right now, there will definitely be a point in time where Laporta > Najee. Feel free to get a jump on it.

Well I just saw Najee traded for Tank Dell + a 2024 2nd from a 2-0 team in 4th....so there is that....

I think it's becoming more and more well-known that Najee is not a great asset. People were in denial about it for a long time. That doesn't seem to be the case across the dynasty community anymore. If you can get out for LaPorta, I would do so in a hurry

You could make a strong case that moving Najee for LaPorta right now is an ideal outcome. Najee's best season is tied to him leading the league with 381 touches and past-prime Big Ben feeding him with check downs. As we see more flaws in his game, it doesn't seem like we'll ever get a 381-touch season from him again.

LaPorta may take a while to reach his upside as TEs do, but he's a very strong TE prospect and has looked good in a few games.

I'm selling Najee for a ham sandwich at this point. I own him on my best team and haven't shopped him because I know no one will bite.

I had a 1st round rookie grade on LaPorta. If you could get him that would be a solid return. Harris isn't even the best back on that team IMO.

x2

Laporta was overshadowed big time by Kincaid/Mayer and is showing he was the best value of all of them

May i piggyback? Thinking about actually acquiring Najee for team 2 below. I’m 2-0 and just need a body at RB. Was gonna offer E Moore(+?) and see how it goes. Thoughts?

And to answer OP, I love LaPorta. Get him for Najee if he’s your guy and u don’t need RB depth. But the D’s get easier for the Steez for the most part comin up

Value is probably with LaPorta as ridiculous as that feels right now and dating back to Harris in 2022...not good. I am getting Trent Richardson reminders.

I’d go with Laporta. We now know what Harris is and it’s not that great. We don’t know what Sam will become but I’d be willing to see where that journey takes me
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05
10 team
9 players kept yearly
Non PPR

I believe LaPorta is legit and would be happy to move Harris for him now if possible.
