To be a devil’s advocate - how shallow is this league? If it’s 10 or 12 teams, and you guys have really short benches, then it was not a wise move to just cut him, but I can at least understand it.

Especially if the Steelers don’t put him on IR so he has to sit on your bench, taking a very valuable depth spot for a few weeks

Other than Robert woods, what other types of players were available? Woods ain’t great, but the fact that he was available makes me think this is a league with pretty shallow rosters

That's incredibly frustrating.

I had a similar thing happen this morning in a redraft (work) league where someone dropped Brian Robinson for a defense. Sure he's not exciting, but he's a starting RB in a 12tm format. I won't have a chance to get him as there's no FAAB and I'm 10th in waiver order.

But that pales in comparison to Diontae in a dynasty league. Idk how I'd even react to that lol. I guess nothing you can do. Thanks for sharing though. If nothing else, it's a reminder to those of us who ARE in leagues where holding FAAB until someone does something stupid is a viable strategy. I'm in a league like that with family and friends who are first time dynasty players. This might be the reminder I needed to stop spending $13 on Kyren Williams

It's all based on league depth. 25+ rosters with 12+ teams and beyond weeks one and two it's a desolate wasteland.

I usually hold all of mine until I see someone I like and then blow it all.
