Calvin Ridley Trade

I was offered the Below trade and it seems like a good deal for me. This is a 10 team PPR super flex league.

RB: Austin Ekeler, Dalvin Cook, James Connor, Alvin Kamara, Jeff Wilson
WR: CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase, Chris Godwin, Terry McLaurin, Calvin Ridley, Gabe Davis, Odell Beckham, Robbie Chosen, Mack Hollins, N'Keal Harry, Devin Duvernay, Van Jefferson, Darnell Mooney
TE: Dalton Schultz, Zach Ertz, Isaiah Likely

TAXI SQUAD:
Isiah Pacheco

2023 Draft Picks: 1.07, 1.08, 1.09, 3.07, 3.08 , 4.07, 4.08, 5.07

Williams has the value. He feels like more of a gamble then Ridley, but still has the value.

I can see the thinking here, with trying to trade out of your WR depth. Both players are iffy for different reasons, so this can go either way. Seeing that your RBs are all long in the tooth, I'd go Javonte here.

I wouldn't do this deal. I like Ridley over Javonte in the near term and I think you can play RBBC for your 2nd RB slot with the guys you have. Connor is solid, Cook will produce early in the season until Hall is back, then Kamara comes back and finally Wilson is a bye-week guy who can get you 10 points.

I'm surprised by how down on Ridley the forums are right now. It's almost like the closer we get to the playing season the less people like him. Which is exactly the opposite of what I would have expected! I have him top-15 for '23 redraft. And I think he has gas in the tank for '24 as well. I'm buying not selling.

I also am a little bit confused on the hate for Ridley and expect big things from him this season. That being said, Williams somehow has already made his way back to the playing field, and looked decent. He could also be in for a big year. If you were high on Javonte before I can see you making this deal. I personally wouldn't as I prefer to build my teams around wrs and plug in RBs. Also, rbs coming back from major injuries scare me.

I think Ridley could be a low end WR1, high end WR2 this year, but I like Javonte here especially with your team construction.

I would roll with Javonte.
Ridley's value skyrocketed to potential ceiling levels despite being on a new team and barely playing over the past two years.
Javonte is much younger and is valued near his floor right now.
Odds of increased value by season's end and going into next year are in Javonte's favor.
TEAM ONE
12 Team PPR League / 5pt passing TDs
