Aging IDP Core

Planning to focus on moving out older players in the draft this year with several on the IDP side. League is 10 team that starts 2 LBs, 3 DLs and 2 DBs with each position currently at max (4 LBs, 5 DLs and 4 DBs).

Scoring is fairly standard with 1 pt per Tackle, .5 pt for Assist, 2 per Sack and 3 per INT. Additional point for Fumbles recovered and forced.

LBs - D Greenlaw, J Jewell (always seems undervalued with a new coaching staff), S Leonard (still not fully back) and B Wagner (age 33)
DLs - C Jones (holding out but should be back), D Hunter, D Lawrence (age 31), K Paye and C Young (hopefully healthy or bust)
DBs - B Baker (new scheme), J Chinn (new scheme), K Curl and H Smith (age 34)

Lawrence and Smith seem like the obvious targets to replace but still producing. LB would be Wagner or Jewell but both are still playing at a high level as well.

The question is who would you prioritize to replace and where do they stack up against some of the bigger name rookies like W Anderson (DE), T Wilson (DE), J Carter (DT) and J Campbell (LB)? Or even FAs like R Gary (DE), P Werner (LB), E Jones (LB) and T Anderson (LB)?

LBs are who score the most points, and your biggest position of relative need IMO. Campbell, Werner, Jones, and Anderson are all higher-end prospects with great rolls heading into 2023.

With pretty low starting reqs and scoring I would probably not chase guys like Anderson and Campbell unless they really fell. I would probably keep Greenlawn for solid production and grab Anderson, werner, and Jones. You should be able to package up the other 3 linebackers for something, especially with 2 big names there.

At DL I would probably hold Jones, hunter, and paye and plan on grabbing 2 of wilson, Carter, or any of the other 1st round DEs that happen to fall to late in the draft or undrafted. If you can move the others and your LBs for capital you should be able to sit back and pick your spots there.

At DB I probably keep baker, Chinn, and kurl and try to move Smith for anything and look to grab Sidney brown in like the 4th, if he doesn't fall to there take another rookie instead or just grab someone from waivers

Appreciate the feedback and ended up getting Will Anderson, Bobby Okereke, Alexander Mattison, JK Dobbins and Jake Moody in the draft through picks and trades. Still some holes that I will have clean up during free agency.

Rd3. Khalil Herbert for Alexander Mattison (still on the fence about this as basically a lateral move)
Rd4. Josey Jewell for Bobby Okereke
