He ain't it. He's the former regime's pick too, on day 3. Raiders need to lose out and draft a QB in round 1. AOC ain't going to be competing with Mahomes and Herbert for then next 5-10 years.

Foodie. Mild sauce goes in the trash. Well done steak goes with it.

Habaneros make the best hot sauce. Throwing a bunch of random stuff on top of fries doesn't mean you call it "poutine".

Not to say he can't improve, especially given his preseason success, but he flat out wasn't good in his first start.

He's going to cheat his whole career and get 99.99% of the calls from the refs?

Really though, I have one share and want to move him. What are we selling for?
I offered AOC for Shaheed + '24 3rd and got ignored

A 3rd in superflex is probably about right

I was offered O'Connell for a 3rd in a 12 team SF today. I have 3 injured starters and a 4th on bye so I was thrilled to smash that accept button.

Yeah I was looking to target owners who were short on QBs, and in that case, a 3rd feels like a great deal for them. I thought Shaheed was a reasonable ask. If the price is a 3rd I'll probably just hold and hope it goes up to a 2nd (unlikely, I know)

Maybe I should add Gus Edwards? Whom I will never start? (Considering the guy I offered AOC to said in the group chat that he was looking for a cheap QB3 & RB)

Man, it seems like Shaheed is being undervalued in a lot of the posts I’m seeing. He’s got a Steve Smith career trajectory feel to me. Not saying he’s an equivalent Steve Smith - he wins differently. But it looks like he may have a similar production path where he just forces his team to feed him more because he puts up strong numbers every time he’s given opportunity.

FWIW, I’ve heard Brady is coming out of retirement so he can carry AOC’s bags.

I could see that. It seems I probably value him about as highly as you do. I've been saying if the guy ever gets volume, watch out. My offer may not reflect that valuation because I don't think MOST value him that highly. This owner in particular has been hunting for a RB from me and a QB in the league chat for a while. This was the first time I saw something that might work. But seeing that my offer was ignored, it looks like he values Shaheed as much as you and I lol

So many variables working against him

- 25-year-old rookie
- GM who drafted him fired
- Coach who liked him fired
- Offense is a bleep show
- Raiders presumably tanking now for a QB

If he shows anything, best case is another team trades for him in the offseason, but I don't think the Raiders starter next season is on the roster.

Correct. I doubt any team trades for him to be their starter, either, even if he does show something. He is auditioning to whether or not he can be an NFL backup QB.
