This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

RB help

Postby YourAverageFan » Sun Jul 30, 2023 4:43 pm

For team 1 in signature, I have been trying to retool my RB stable. I have made some progress in the draft with Roschon and Miller, though they aren't anything yet, and I don't want my RBs to hold me back from the ship. Last year was aa bit messy with the CHI backfield being my only real option for RB2.

I checked in with the Dobbins owner and he would trade him for a late 1st. I expect my 2024 to be late. Value is good here I believe. But would he would be enough an upgrade over White/Montgomery/Herbert trio currently vying for RB2 to spend the 1st for? Or do I ride this group out?

I'd ship a late 1st for Dobbins if I was competing. Bounced back well toward the end of last season and is undoubtedly talented.

I think a late first is fair value. I personally would just wait. I think your two RBs could be producing mid season and you could use that "late" first on something else. regarding the late first...I have seen stacked teams lose a few players and be picking number 1...so I don't know if I would be trading my first before the season starts for help....

I think its a fair trade but White is going to be a volume touch RB so the difference between the two is not worth giving up a first for me. Add Montgomery into the mix and I definitely a hold. Gibbs is a weapon, but not the guy that is going to carry the load. Montgomery will get a decent amount of touches and a lot of goal line work.

I like Dobbins over a late 1st despite his risk. He does have plenty of risk but if he hits early, his value will hike quickly. If next year's class happens to round out like this year's...a late 1st is not great.

Being a competing team, I love the trade for you. I'm not super high on Dobbins but I think his value for a contender is probably a late 1st.
