Completed a trade in a league that starts 22 players (11 IDP). This trade was made roughly 60% of the way through our startup draft.

I sent my '24 2nd for Jaelin Phillips, a '24 4th & a '24 5th round pick upgrade (if his 5th winds up higher than mine we switch).

I'm not really sure on the value of JP in this deep defensive starter league. I'd used an overwhelming amount of my budget on offensive players. JP went for $14, which was significantly more than I had budgeted on any of my other IDP's (highest I was able to pay was $5 for Kamren Curl & Harold Landry III).

I wonder in hindsight if I was panicking a bit, as I couldn't compete on any defensive bid due to my financial situation.

Idk about the auction values, but in a vacuum Phillips should go for about an early 2nd in a deep IDP league.

Will Anderson is going around the 1.08 in those type of leagues, and the way Phillips has started his career isn’t far off from what we hope Anderson becomes

it's hard to have an idea of value without knowing the scoring system, starting requirements, number of teams...
