Tony Pollard Discussion

Postby wickerkat1212 » Wed Jun 07, 2023 11:10 am

So, what do you all think about Tony Pollard? I only have one share, but I like him a lot. With Zeke seemingly done, he is all set to take over in DAL. He was the RB#7 in my 1 PPR league last year, and is projected to get similar numbers, to be the RB#9 this year. Do you think he will stay in the top ten? Is he a solid RB1 for a few years? Does Vaughn or anyone else (such as Malik, RJones, or Zeke if he returns) chip away at his value? I was worried they'd draft Bijan. They didn't. He's only 26.

I have him as my RB2 behind Henry.

What are your thoughts on him?

I think Dallas isn't done with their backfield and they don't want to add too much to his workload. Honestly at the price I am targeting Malik.

I like him a lot as well, but I am going to try to sell at his price and see if anyone bites. Problem is, I'd probably have to go buy another RB to replace him and might be back at square 1, but would be aiming at a healthier and younger back if possible

He was an elite RB with a really minimal work load. Even if they add another back…his upside is immense. If they don’t…we could be looking at an Austin Ekeler top 3 player.
SF, PPR, 12 team, 12 player dynasty

QB- Lawrence, Fields, Tannehill (max 2 keepers, 3 rostered)
RB- Bijan Robinson, T Pollard, Allgeier, Charbonnet, Achane, J Wilson, Kelley, K Williams
WR- Lamb, Jeudy, Hill, C Olave, A Pierce, Shaheed, Bourne
TE- Goedert, Musgrave

My take is he is in for a very good year. O Line is becoming a strength again and he all the tools.

I do expect them to resign Zeke or at least add another back.

For the most part, the days of 3 down workhorse backs are fading into the sunset but I do see him as a legit RB1

The team has said repeatedly, and I mean repeatedly, they don't think he can handle or want him to have an increased workload. He had an uber productive season especially with his number of touches, I just see regression over improvement as more likely.

Came here to say all of this. RB1 season, even with Zeke back, which I expect. I expect a big year from Pollard.

I dont think he turns into a workhorse…but even a 10-15% increase in volume (which is very feasible) would likely make him a top 3 player.

Okay. Heard MIA too. Just didn't want something nasty to happen after I decide not to move Pollard.

Miami has been the constant. Now inevitably, in today's modern day media, people need to churn out content daily. It's everybody is awesome season, and everybody is going everywhere rumours.

Got a drinking game for ya. Take a shot every you hear or read "so and so is a breakout candidate".

LOL, true. Just making sure Pollard stays the man in DAL, that's all. Glad they didn't get Bijan.
