Yup I have a few damming ones on the front page lol RB is more and more about opportunity and Kyren is one of the few RB with the backfield to himself
It's definitely the opportunity.

But, more and more there are plays where Williams looks a little better than a replacement RB with elite opportunity. Then when you consider Williams' pass-pro, it's the cherry on top. He's a good football player who checks each box his coach wants an RB to execute. He makes a clear impact on the Rams. Their offense with and without him is night and day.

He's going to be an interesting player to watch in the offseason. I think there may be an incentive to sell high, because he doesn't fit the conventional mold of a bellcow and he played so many snaps. I do think the Rams will add an RB, because they don't have good depth there.

However, I think there's also the possibility that Williams may be a Devonta Freeman or Austin Ekeler type of anomaly. McVay is an elite HC. His offense currently features and maximizes scheme-specific skills (Kupp, Nacua, Williams) from players you wouldn't have expected to be producing like they are. Even with less oppotunity, I don't think Williams is fading so quickly when he plays at the level he does. He's unexpectedly been a safety net at that position for them.

"Coach Speak", but nonetheless, this is pretty endearing. Have to think Kyren has a role next year, as long as McVay is there.
I'm impressed he did so well against the stingy Ravens defense. Williams has continued to excel, and the Rams have him dirt cheap for the '24 and '25 seasons. I don't know why you'd take an RB high in the draft when you have Kyren.
and needs in so many other areas.

Short week this week. Hope he has the same juice after a huge workload. I supposed his opponents will be in the same boat.

Mainly those who believed it is really hard to take off two entire years of anything and still be elite at it. That said, even for someone who didn't pursue Ridley, the value was there to make that trade. Easy to look back in hindsight now.

I was going to other way though. After week two I saw enough to acquire Williams in two different leagues for a 2nd. Didn't see him being a league leader in yards per game or opportunity share, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Same. I managed to acquire Kyren and Jakobi Meyers for a 2025 1st. But I definitely hesitated at first because my team was kind of on the fringe and I was nervous his production wouldn't sustain. Watching his film though I felt more encouraged. He has great vision and quickness, but the situation is the what put the cherry on top for me. I already had owned Akers, so I was convinced that their swift and decisive parting with Akers was the turn-key moment. With the Rams lack of depth I don't feel like they would have traded Akers unless they strongly felt like Kyren was the guy. I felt the same way about JRob when they released Fournette, but I think Kyren is a better talent in a better situation.

Glad I pulled the trigger.

It’d be really hard to trade him for a random 2024 1st at this point. It’d probably have to be top 3…but even then I’d have to think about it. I’d be really surprised if there’s a predictably better RB in this draft class. You have MWJ but after that I’m just not sure. The QBs look good but there is so much depth at that position and it’s pretty hit or miss. Bowers is a stud but also an undersized TE. Lots of solid WRs but with enough confidence to pass on a RB that was just a league winner?

RB- Bijan Robinson, T Pollard, Allgeier, Charbonnet, Achane, J Wilson, Kelley, K Williams
WR- Lamb, Jeudy, Hill, C Olave, A Pierce, Shaheed, Bourne
TE- Goedert, Musgrave

There's 0% chance I would trade a high 1st for Kyren. So much can happen in the offseason

Huge difference between a 1st and a top 3 1st

Nobody's trading a Top-3 first in this class for Wliliams. I think a Top 4-6 is more realistic and probably fair. I think the Rams are going to add an RB, but I don't think it's going to be someone to be the starter. They just need RB depth overall.
