What is odd, Minny is needing to resolve their QB issue but underlying is their RB1. The Vikings are going to make some noise in the next 2 months

I dunno, I think Coach sounded pretty happy about running with Ty Chandler if it comes to it.

Just read that Singeltary is "not a lock" to be back in Houston and my first thought was he could easily be the starter in MN

Diehard Vikings fan here, I don't think Ty is a volume back, they are definitely going to bring in an FA and/or draft. There will be competition this year. I'm not sure they see Chandler as the starter but someone that has done well enough to earn touches. Lots of vet FA's out there on the cheap and a less than great RB draft, couples with a great WR draft will push some RB's down so there will be choices in the 4th/5th round for contributors.

Didn't they just do this movie with Mattison last year?

Minnesota's RB room looks bare. Have to think they'll be drafting someone at least, or maybe they'll bring in a one-year deal like an AJ Dillon.

For sure they'll add someone. As you point out, they physically have to - to fill up the room.

I was just pointing out that TheTroll's point of "QB is a problem, but the true underlying problem is RB1" is, well...

QB is the much bigger problem.

And RB for a team that is now re-tooling/rebuilding, and probably not contending in a newly loaded NFC North... I think they'll be happy to run with whoever they can find cheapest.

#Vikings are having constructive dialogue with former #Packers running back Aaron Jones with some optimism that a potential deal could be reached for him to remain in NFC North after being released by Green Bay, per league sources @KPRC2
That could be fun. 8-)

I actually love Aaron Jones for this year. Even with a rookie QB, virtually no way he's seeing stacked boxes but with a ton of check-down opportunity.
