NFL Network’s draft insider Daniel Jeremiah had the best statement about the Buffalo Bills at the 2023 NFL draft.

Jeremiah was the one who said, prior to the Bills even officially selecting tight end Dalton Kincaid with their first pick, that the league will “get what it deserves” for letting him land in Buffalo.
I'm as excited as you are about year 2, but I wouldn't sleep on year 1 as well.

If your tes aren't very good I would have no hesitation taking him ahead of the 2nd tier rbs. He will help your team more than them.

Just went 1.03 in our SF/TE super premium (1.5 PPR, 1.5pts/10yds) league. ARich, then Bijan, then him before Young, Stroud, Gibbs, or JSN.

Boy, that is really silly. But as a manager that grabbed him at 1.07 I'll be happy to exchange him for that value

I would take him ahead of JSN in a decent TEP format. I did, in a 1.75 PPR for TE's. Not quite sure I understand the yardage bonus though. Is it 1.5 points for every ten yards, on top of 0.1 per yard?

@Shcritters
I read it as 1.5 PPR and 1.5/10 yards. That’s 50% more points for comparative stats across the board. Might be justified but it’s hard to rationalize when it isn’t normal formatting.

Lumps nailed it. Basically 1.5X pts for TE’s compared with normal PPR.

Honestly, it isn’t that crazy… Pitts went 1.02 a few years ago, but that was before we went SF.

But he’s basically being valued as a borderline top 5 TE.

Wait I must really be having a blonde moment here… isn’t 1.5PPR already 50% more pts for receptions? 60 catches gets the TE 90 pts instead of 60, etc

Sorry, I’m not doing a good job explaining this. It is 1.5 points per reception, AND 1.5 pts for every 10 yds receiving (compared to normal 1 pt per 10 yds). So 5 catches for 50 yards in normal PPR is 10 pts, and in this league it is 15 (7.5 for receptions and 7.5 for yards).

Oh wow, yeah, OK. I think that makes sense, was just confirming it wasn't a bonus of 1.5 for every ten yards, on top of the 1 point per 10. That would make it 2.5 per ten. You explained it properly, just double checking.

Seems like this format is a reasonable place to take Kincaid that early.

It took a little longer than we had hoped but Kincaid has arrived. He’s even been open and Josh missed it, and opted for a downfield bomb in coverage.

In my 1.5 TEP he’s put up 19.5, 20, and 20.1 (heavy penalty for fumbles, and that fumble was probably something most players lose in that situation). Knox is still out. They face a slate of teams very poor against TEs coming up.

Being #2 in the Allen led offense was what the Gabe owners wanted, but it’s Kincaid. Honestly, as Diggs fades in the coming years, I expect Kincaid to be the #1.

He certainly has and has been a reliable piece of this offense. Even after the fumble, Josh went to him right after. They are starting to trust him and he's been really reliable when it comes to his Catch%, his separation and YAC ability.

I think he will keep this role even after Knox is back. Most likely Shakir is the one who will lose snaps to Knox going forward.

I agree that Kincaid is a terrific asset in TEP.

But I really hope you're wrong about the bolded part. Josh Allen deserves an elite WR. I realize that BAL and KC have made it work with TE as the top target. But they too have tried time and time again to find WR production. KC, particularly, has been terrible at it.

LaPorta. But I want either one.

Was chatting with another manager in our SC/devy league where I hold Bowers and said that I'd have a hard time if the LaPorta owner offered him straight up for Bowers. Not sure what I'd do. I think I'd hold Bowers, but it would be a very difficult call.
