If Williams and his career 4.0 ypa stalls Miller’s career in any meaningful way then we’ve misjudged Miller badly.

Agreed. It's just that he may be getting a chance earlier than expected, because coaches tend to stick to vets early over day 2 RB's, the first half of the year.

As a Kendre owner these four games are more interesting to me than the three with no Kamara. This will give us a better idea of what the two can do before Kamara is not a Saint.

90 total yards yesterday. The passing game usage was what really (pleasantly) surprised me, going 4 for 53, with some explosive plays, and a nice hands away from the body catch, on a short gain. 16 touches. Nice to see.

agreed. they'll say garbage time, but who cares, that's how you get a good audition behind a guy like Kamara. also, I think AK being back is positive for the tutorship of Kendre

He was used throughout the game, though, his biggest play was in the 2nd quarter. He was used at the end of the game, to run the clock out a bit, so it was tough sledding, but he was getting some touches earlier, too. Obviously he might not have hit 16 touches if it was closer, but still a good sign.

Also noticed Saints waived Tony jones so its all Kamara/Kendre for another week until Williams is eligible to return. Not sure how close he is to coming back or if he even factors in much from here

Tangent, but Tony Jones landed in ARI, after the Conner injury

Honestly, only a matter of time before he beats out Ja. Williams. He's just so limited as an early down plodder and it doesn't really fit with this type of offense. Worked with Detroit because they value the hell out of the type of physical tone Williams sets, even with poor carries. Also, think they wanted to reward his leadership as well.

But, at this point, I think Miller will secure RB2 on this team at some point.

Right, I think Kendre pretty much has become the RB2 at this point. Williams could be their GL back, but they have Taysom for all that bs if they really want
