Superflex Jimmy G vs Rodgers who’s adding?

Going back and forth with a leaguemate who wants out from Rodgers and asking about Jimmy.

Jimbo in theory has longer left but I am not sure either side should be adding here. Rodgers has the name but can't have more than a few season left. Is Jimmy a long term starter though? There is risk on both sides and either is an average SF asset at this point. Rodgers has the greater upside in the short term.

Rodgers > JG for me pretty easily. I'm not sure JG has more seasons left as a starter in the NFL than Rodgers does, and I'm willing to bet that Rodgers is more productive than JG for any season in which they both start.

Yuk. I’d hold Jimmy right now because I don’t want any part of the constant off-season drama that Rodgers brings. Will he return or not all the time. Makes him unmovable

If I'm a contending team I'm definitely going with Rodgers. Otherwise I'm kind of split on this. I guess common sense would say a rebuilding team should prefer Jimmy, But I'm not sold he'll be a starter in 2025. I actually think the opposite. I believe Aaron will play two more seasons, so I'm conflicted even in a rebuild.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah we are both rebuilding so that complicates it but I came in 2nd last year (so I could be closer if I can pair Rodgers with Lamar) I have a lot of holes however. I think Jimmy will be fine for a couple years and at least LV went out and got weapons, unless they crap the bed they won’t be in the running for a top QB next draft anyway. See what extras I can get from the other guy I guess or hold
