cmizelle wrote: Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:07 am I updated the ADP page with March data. For those that need it, the URL is:
https://www.mizelle.net/mfl/2023/

I also got the community rookie rankings page set up. The URL for that one is:
https://mizelle.net/mfl/2023/rookies/

Sometimes people get confused about what these pages represent, so I want to clarify. The ADP page presents data from the startup mock drafts that DLF runs each month on MFL. The rookie community rookie rankings page allows people to submit their own rankings of the rookies coming in. The data for one has nothing to do with the data for the other.

Thanks. The links in the OP should help visibility.

And who put Gibbs at 8 in 1 QB? I'll admit he's not my clear RB2 but I can't see him falling out of top 8, even in SF.

Also looks like someone submitted a blank ranking in SF lol

I put Gibbs at 8. I have said previously that he is as situationally dependent as any RB in this draft this side of Achane. I am not a fan of RBs who can’t/won’t run between the tackles.

Thanks for posting... I was lazy and just added it to the existing thread :D

Nice. I kind of had a feeling since you have said Charbs is your RB2 for a bit. Didn't think he was as low as 8 for you but I understand the reasoning. Basically a do not draft for you in this case

Appreciate that. Now if Gibbs is drafted by say Denver and knowing how Payton uses his RBs, I’d reconsider my position and move Gibbs up (but he’d still be my RB3). Right now Gibbs is my RB4.

I’m not afraid to be wrong. In fact I’ve gotten pretty damned good at it.

Can we get Hendon Hooker added? I think he's a reasonable 2nd round projection in SF. thanks!

I am disappointed in you! If your ranking on Gibbs is firm in your head, why would landing spot matter? I don't always agree with your takes, but I respect your conviction, no waffling please.

Because scheme and opportunity do matter. If Gibbs gets into Payton’s or Belicheck’s O system (I don’t expect the latter with Strong there), then he strengths will be emphasized while his weaknesses will not be brought into play much. He is so system dependent that landing spot really makes a significant impact.

If this is your feeling, then he shouldn't be in your top 5 for RB's is more my point. Things and situations change too quickly in the NFL to rate somebody this high if they need a system to match them as a player.....

Okay, well then give me what rules that you feel I have to follow to rank players. Let’s start with that discussion.

Wasn't trying to be argumentative. I personally don't rank anybody in my top 5 that I feel needs to land in a good situation to succeed. Sorry if that is offensive.

No, it’s not offensive at all. Guys who I believe can be legitimate bell cows always sit at the top of my list. I have 3 guys there right now in this year’s class. Then it comes down to potential to put up numbers in a limited role. Gibbs IMO sits on top of that latter group. The top of that list could bypass lower bell cows if the bell cow goes to a suboptimal situation - meaning going to a coach who has a strong history of splitting RB duties - while the limited RB goes to an optimal spot - meaning going to a coach who has a history of providing an optimal system for a limited RB.

So yes, if Gibbs goes to DEN and Payton’s scheme while one of the potential bell cows goes to a system where the HC eon’t use them as a 3 down high workload RB, then Gibbs would rise.
