Yeah, I mean bijan is on a different level. He should be getting more work. As a fantasy manager, honestly I don’t mind it… yet. Would rather Bijan be kept fresh than ran into the ground, like zeke for example. And with the longer season, these rbbc’s are going to be the new norm, even for studs like bijan.

Allgeier has been worse this year, but hard to say exactly why that has been. He’s gotten a lot more redzone usage, which drags down the stats, but even his ypc on other areas of the field are down by a full yard. Idk.
Idk about this man, Zeke started his career with finishes of RB 2, 13 (in 10 games), 5, 3, 9, 7.

With what Arthur Smith has done, Bijan will be lucky to even sniff that RB 13 finish.

He has the 10th highest snap rate on the team from inside the 5 yard line.

31 RBs have 100+ touches this season:
-Bijan Robinson = 5.5 ypt (5/31)
-Tyler Allgeier = 3.5 ypt (30/31)

I don't personally like yards/touch as a stat, so here's this as well:
-Bijan Robinson = 5.0 ypc on 103 carries
-Tyler Allgeier = 3.2 ypc on 116 carries

Arthur Smith is a f*****g joke.

Atlanta Falcons carries inside of the 10 yard line:

10 - Tyler Allgeier
5 - Desmond Ridder
2 - Cordarrelle Patterson
2 - Bijan Robinson
1 - KhaDarel Hodge
1- Jonnu Smith

Anyone else list to Smith's 6 minute response when asked about this yesterday?

At first I thought he was providing a thoughtful, insightful, inflective response (the first minute or two), that sounded like they self-scouted and realized they need to involve Bijan more. By the end of the rant it came off as his typical smartest-man-in-the-room persona that would probably make someone like Arthur double-down and use Allgeier even more.

Anyone else have a takeaway from that?

Seems that Smith has pretty much painted himself into a corner. By not optimizing his top talent he pisses his boss, the GM, off because the implication is that guys like Bijan just aren’t good enough and the GM did a crap job picking them. If he changes up and starts using his top talent more and they start winning more he looks stupid for not using them more earlier. The only hope that he seems to have would be to use the lesser guys and win with them, and that hasn’t been happening up until now. That fits his mentality and ego, so I don’t expect any significant changes.

He’s pretty much in a lose-lose situation. The GM ought to see it too - especially since pretty much the test of the football watching world has - and cut his loses. Smith’s only hope to save himself is to keep limiting his top talent but somehow getting the team to start winning. That looks like a poor proposition. If the GM - who didn’t hire Smith - dumps Smith now then at least he looks like he recognizes the main problem and is trying to deal with it even if they keep playing mediocre the rest of the season.

Is there anything he cannot do?
Bijan is not a one-trick pony.

And didn’t have to use Othani’s interpreter. Bijan should ball out 2024.
