Any Thoughts on why Safety Scoring is falling off now?

I am in three advanced full IDP contract dynasty leagues. All 32 team. IDP starting requirements are similar and scoring is balanced (ab. 60% offense 40% IDP) all start 9 Offense and 11 IDP and must start 1-3 Safeties. Across all three leagues and in all rosters, I've noticed a distinct decline in scores for starting Safeties. Any conjecture on this. Most of the competitive teams now only start 1 safety, where early in the season we would max them out at three IF we have full 100% snap count starters rostered of course. What gives? Scheme changes? Worse weather? Starter attrition due to injuries? Or all of the above?

The simplest answer is scheme change. Most teams are playing 2 safeties deep now, almost no matter the opponent.

To a much lesser extent - and this isn’t backed by any verifiable data that I’ve found, just a theory - TE production hasn’t been THIS bad (excepting Kelce) in a long time. Stud TEs are OFTEN (but not always) covered by stud safeties (or at the very least, tackled by safeties if they get away from the 1st guy). Maybe that’s playing a role as well?

Also this year I am pretty sure we are seeing more running of the football, last couple years there have been 5 and 7 teams running over 45 percent of the time, this year there are 5 running over 50 percent and 11 over 45. That may be effecting it slightly, though I don't know

probably more of a consequence of the defensive schemes rather than a cause, but still an interesting point.

Could be, could also be some combo, more 2 high looks mean more carries, mote running means more tackles by the front 2 units. I don't know for sure
