Jahan Dotson or Christian Watson?

Would you rather have Jahan Dotson or Chrstian Watson?
Focus is more on 2023, less on 2022 ROS.

Both have struggles to stay healthy but I would rather gamble on Dotson as a prospect. Coin flip though.

I liked Dotson more in the draft process and haven't see enough to change that opinion.

Thanks guys! I have Dotson and had a chance to flip him for Watson. Tempting for a Cheesehead, but I also felt more comfortable with Dotson, so I declined.

Watson's value is largely based his freakish athletic measurables and Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers is retiring soon and Dotson has already shown he can produce with a bad QB. Factor in draft capital and it's Dotson comfortably.

I had Dotson one WR spot higher after the draft. He had a strong start with 4 TD in 4 games. But other than those TD, he's been very quiet..

Similar things can be said for Watson, but his burst is more recent. I tend to think his value is bumped up due to current situation. Swap their situations, and I'd like Dotson even more. So looking to the future, Watson could take a big hit if Jordan Love is the QB in 23. While maybe Dotson could see a better QB come to DC. It's a guessing game there though, but the range of outcomes vs current situation favors Dotson.

All that said... Watson has WR1 upside and Dotson is more of a WR2, Tyler Lockett upside. Nothing wrong with that and I think he is more likely to hit those numbers than Watson is WR1 numbers, but it's something to keep in mind.

Not so comfortable after watching Love connect with Watson

Dotson was pretty efficient in weeks 1, 2 and 4. He caught 10 of 14 targets in those weeks, which is pretty good, considering the average depth was close to 15 yards. That made him a great big play guy.

Then he got injured, and when he came back, Taylor Heinicke was his QB. And that combination obviously does not work out at all.

Question for both Watson and Dotson is: who will be their QB next year?

And indeed, seeing Love and Watson connecting makes Watson look like the safer of both options right now.
