Big offer for Chase. Help please

So in my Superflex league, where we start qb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-te-superflex-flex-k-d, I was just given a pretty big offer for Chase. I love Chase. I inherited this team two years ago, and in my first year got Chase, Devonta, and EMoore. My WRS were TERRIBLE when I got this team. Beasley was my WR1. Ouch. SO, do I even entertain this offer?

2023 1st (probably 1.02-03)
2023 1st (probably 1.10-12)
Tyrion Davis-Price

for

Chase

TDP is just a flier, and to keep the lineups even.

My team is in my signature, but right now I'm starting:

Mahomes QB1
Rodgers QB2
Kamara RB1
Singletary RB2
Chase WR1
Devonta WR2
EMoore WR3
Ertz TE1
Kmet TE2
DEF
K

Options on bench for flex: RB—BRobinson (IR), Mostert; WR—Hardman, MJones, RAnderson, McKenzie; TE—LThomas and Hurst.

So you can see I don't have much depth. QBs behind these guys are Mayfield, and then Howell for development, and Flacco just for emergencies off WW right now.

He finished 2nd last year, here is his team. Thoughts on the offer or counter?

PLAYER 2021 PTS BYE TRADE?
Huntley, Tyler BAL QB 82.64 10 Trade
Jackson, Lamar BAL QB 239.98 10 Trade
Murray, Kyler ARI QB 300.48 13 Trade
Willis, Malik TEN QB (R) ‐ 6 Trade
Barkley, Saquon NYG RB 148.60 9 Trade
Chandler, Ty MIN RB (R) ‐ 7 Trade
Cook, Dalvin MIN RB 206.30 7 Trade
Davis-Price, Tyrion SFO RB (R) ‐ 9 Trade
Evans, Chris CIN RB 49.80 10 Trade
Mattison, Alexander MIN RB 125.90 7 Trade
McCaffrey, Christian CAR RB 127.50 13 Trade
Allen, Keenan LAC WR 257.80 8 Trade
Beckham, Odell FA* WR (Q) 129.10 - Trade
Cooks, Brandin HOU WR 231.80 6 Trade
Diggs, Stefon BUF WR 285.50 7 Trade
Gage, Russell TBB WR (Q) 163.00 11 Trade
Lockett, Tyler SEA WR 241.40 11 Trade
Philips, Kyle TEN WR (R) ‐ 6 Trade
Shakir, Khalil BUF WR (R) ‐ 7 Trade
Kelce, Travis KCC TE 262.80 8 Trade
Likely, Isaiah BAL TE (R) ‐ 10 Trade
Long, Hunter MIA TE 1.80 11 Trade
Tucker, Justin BAL PK 176.20 10 Trade
Bills, Buffalo BUF Def 164.00 7 Trade
Buccaneers, Tampa Bay TBB Def 156.00 11 Trade

So, ACCEPT? PASS? Add a WR?

Easy pass for me. TDP doesn’t weigh in at all. I would have to have Diggs instead of TDP along with both picks to consider. And would have to be very confident that one is early like you have listed. If that shifted more middle for some reason, trade looks worse.

Diggs and both 1sts I’d consider. Not sure I’d even pull the trigger on that, but would have me thinking.

Yeah, that was my thinking.

Ditto on passing. Trading Chase isn't going to move your team closer to being a contender, imo. Glad to see he's a little more serious by including the early 1st but it's still quite far off. Gauging the offer/counter in startup value, Chase is a late 1st, the early 23 1st is probably around 4th/5th. The late is well off the radar to bridge the gap. Diggs plus would need to be offered before a trade even enters the realm of possibility, for me, but I wouldn't want to give up years with a team that is not ready to win right away.

Pass.

Getting 2 extra 1sts in what projects to be a strong draft class may look tempting.

But do we expect a scenario in which Chase will lose trade value this season? Outside of a random injury, I don't see one. So you should be able to make such a trade prior to your 2023 draft, when you know exactly what those picks will be, and what players (at which landing spots) you will be able to draft with them.

Good point. They obviously want Chase in their lineup now.

They added Lockett to the offer but I don't think that's enough.

Nope, do not trade Chase for less than three 1st round picks.
TDP + Lockett does NOT equal a 1st round pick.

Thanks. Yeah those two plus Diggs or Allen was the bare minimum and I really wanted a younger WR back.
