Lazard vs WR rookies

Postby GoIllini » Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:13 am

I feel like I have some really nice depth at WR, would you drop Lazard or Cousins as a backup to grab WR Pierce, Metchie, Tolbert or D. Bell.....or a good handcuff like Mattison?

WR - Chase / AJ Brown / D. Smith / Jeudy / Burks
RB - Barkley / J. Taylor / J. K. Dobbins / Akers / Pacheco / Mattison / CEH

I think Lazard is okay but not great now and long term. I would rather have Tolbert, Bell or Metchie over Lazard long term. Mattison for that matter too. Lazard could really hit this year based on his depth chart but that is yet to be seen. It's a gamble either way but I am not sure Lazard will pan out as some are hoping.

If you are all in and focused on a title this year however, I think Lazard is the safer bet for the year.

You can probably hold out a while and them grab Metchie later. You might find you can move Lazard for a pick at some point and then grab your guy.

Personally in a Dynasty league, I would see what I can get for Lazard and pick up Mattison if he's available. He's going to be a FA next year and has proven to be a very capable back.

WR - Metcalf, Higgins, Godwin, Thomas, Jeudy, Wilson

I would hold Lazard. By mid year, if he is doing well, sell at his peak.
