Who do you like better long term?
Deebo had a huge season last year, but he will see notable drop off, as he won't contribute as much in the run game this year. Love Chris Godwin, and I'm not too worried about his injury, as I am more focused on long term, but unsure if he will be better than Deebo going forward.

Re: Deebo or Chris Godwin
I think Godwin is the better overall player. Samuel has the bigger blow up potential but Godwin is a target machine and a PPR monster. He can succeed in any system whereas Samuel seems a bit more system dependent. I don't think you can go wrong either way but Godwin is a beast to me. Value right now is with Samuel on the market.

Give me the number one receiver in a Shanahan offense all day every day. Godwin is a fantastic receiver, but Brady has maybe one year left and then what happens in Tampa? Deebo is also a fantastic receiver, but he is in a perfect situation with very little chance of losing that spot.

Thank you both. I’m torn on them.Gator Sens wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 12:07 pm I think Godwin is the better overall player. Deebo- he is in a Shanahan offense, but they are breaking in a new QB that has had some issues early on. Plus, there seems to be a lack of chemistry between Lance and Deebo at this moment, so idk how long it will take to get that. He’s also the same age as Godwin, but came out 2 years later than Godwin (if that makes a difference)
Godwin- we know he will be fed when he is back fully healthy, but what does his outlook look like after Brady is done? Will he still be a top option no matter the next QB?

Re: Deebo or Chris Godwin
Give me Godwin. I was just talking to my buddy yesterday about how Evans ADP (26) is much pricier than Godwin’s (54) yet in PPR, Godwin has had the better per game average the last two years. I get it with injury, but it’s insane. In a $500 auction I nabbed Godwin for $16, Evans went for $85, silly how undervalued he’s becoming. Anyway, back on topic I like both of them, but I have concerns over Lance taking away some of the running dynamic that made Deebo so valuable last year.

Re: Deebo or Chris Godwin
Appreciate the input. I’m with you that I do think Deebo takes a little hit and he also shouldn’t be asked to do as much either. I don’t remember exactly, but even without the rushing last year, he was still like WR12 or something like that. I love Godwin too though, but I wonder how much he will be affected once Brady hangs it up and he has a new QBstpilots98 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:23 pm Give me Godwin. Re: Deebo or Chris Godwin
We’ve been talking about Tom hanging it up for years. Anyway, I think an incoming QB hurts Evans more as Godwin is the underneath target who can lineup inside as well, whereas Evans is a true X. Also, with the line issues this year and Brady probably going to be getting the ball out earlier, I think it benefits Godwin.Jcedwards wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 10:11 amAppreciate the input. Jimmy coming back makes me feel better about Deebo as I am not sure Lance is ready. If we are talking standard I take Deebo.
