Isaiah Likely
I searched and could not find a thread for him.
He has been getting a lot of positive reviews. I know he is stuck behind Andrews, but what are your guys thoughts on him?
I have been targeting him in all my drafts this year.

Re: Isaiah Likely
If we are talking BAL rookie TE, I think Kolar is the one you want for fantasy. RAS scores have good correlation for TE success. At least, the elite TE are all usually athletic monsters. I always like to shoot for the moon too.
https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=2 ... 21112&pos=
Likely seems likely to be a good pick too and also has good receiving skills, but hes a little smaller and slower. Pretty sure both are weak blockers, but one would assume the bigger TE, Kolar would have a higher chance at succeeding as a blocker. Which would mean more snaps and more opportunity to catch some passes.
Ultimately, Andrews is signed for 4 more years and this is a run happy team, so I wouldn't get your hopes too high on either.

Re: Isaiah Likely
One of my favorites at the position before the draft. As soon as BAL drafted him and another one of my favorites, Charlie Kolar, I completely lost interest in both and removed them from my draft board. This is the 4th time since 2010 that BAL has picked multiple rookie TEs in the same draft, and now they both sit behind Andrews.
I don’t want to roster both rookie TEs (and burn 2 draft picks in the rookie draft) and I sure don’t see a lot of difference between the potentials of both of them to be relevant FF TEs. They both have desirable qualities and traits that look to be transferable at the NFL level, which means they very well could get in the way of each others’ development, and sitting behind one of the best FF TEs in the league doesn’t help that either - not when BAL’s first real “out” with Andrews isn’t until 2024. Until then they’d have to eat a ton of dead cap space to get rid of Andrews - and they’d still have almost $12M in dead cap space if they do part ways then.
Love the potential of the Likely, but absolutely hate even more the situation.

Re: Isaiah Likely
It’s pretty clear that Likely is a stud. He’s undrafted in many leagues because of Andrews. At what point is he worth owning in a typical league
SF, PPR, 12 team, 12 player dynasty
QB- Lawrence, Fields, Tannehill (max 2 keepers, 3 rostered)
RB- Bijan Robinson, T Pollard, Allgeier, Charbonnet, Achane, J Wilson, Kelley, K Williams
WR- Lamb, Jeudy, Hill, C Olave, A Pierce, Shaheed, Bourne
TE- Goedert, Musgrave

TE- Goedert, Musgrave
Re: Isaiah Likely
I'd be buying to stash in deeper dynasty leagues. Could see him being used quite a bit as a flex TE and shifted around to compliment Andrews. But as Jigga & Bronco Billy pointed out, his path to stardom is thwarted a bit by Andrews and even Kolar.

I understand by context what you are saying and I know who Gandalf is, but I’ve never seen that term used for this context. How did that come about?

Both Likely and Doubs flamed out during the combine process, thats why they're exceptions to every rule.

I just picked him up in a dynasty league. I have no idea how he can have fantasy relevance, but at this point I don’t care…I just want him on my roster

Re: Isaiah Likely
Easy, two tight end sets. Hell he could even be their slot receiver. It’s not like they have a receiver besides Bateman that they need to get on the field. He is going to have year one relevance barring injury. Very few tight ends show such good receiving prowess as a rookie in preseason.
