Hey all! Thanks in advance for the input. I'm trying to get Pitts, got the counter above for the team below. I think it's too much, but is Pitts worth it long term? I won last year, and will definitely be competing this year. SF, no-TE premium, 10 teams.
QB: Murray, Jackson, Lance
RB: Dillon, Fournette, Jacobs, Stevenson, Singletary, Carter, Robinson, Sermon
WR: Chase, Lamb, Waddle, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Pierce, V Jones, Q Watkins, D Gray
TE: M Andrews, Kittle, Goedert, I Smith, Hooper
Picks: All 2023, + 1 extra mid 1st
I thought about countering with Andrews and my late 2023rd for Pitts, but thought it might hurt me this year too badly. Thoughts?

Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
This is your classic example...Pitts is simply not worth the price to acquire in most cases. Andrews is a much better TE then Pitts straight up. That may change in the future and it may not. Hold what you have here very easily.
Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
I want to be crystal clear. Hell no. Andrews is better and still not old

Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
Is anyone concerned in the coming years that Pitts will be changed to a WR? I saw somewhere that he only ran 20% of his routes from the TE position. And MFL is good at changing players positions.

Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
Andrews is not better than Pitts, c'mon guys. Did you all go nuts for Tyler Higbee when he had an injury fueled historic scoring 5 weeks to end the year? Because Andrews with Miller at QB has always been a decent mid te1, and then the backup came in with eyes only for his TE and MAndrews had his Higbee run (albeit starting from a much better baseline pre run than Higbee).
Capitalizing on Andrews' run to upgrade to Pitts is a phenomenal move. You should be able to do it for a little less than this, or at least get something like a 2nd back. I'd still be fine sending a later first and Andrews for Pitts, but it's a case where trying to get more won't hurt you.

Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
Excuse me? Andrews is 26 and scored 70 more fantasy points than Pitts last year. Had 43 more targets and 41 more catches. Also 8 more TD's. Pitts is may be that next Andrews, but he is not there yet. Re: Andrews/Pitts counter
Maybe if it was Kittle and the 1st, but you don’t need both Pitts and Andrews. That 1st will gain value, while Pitts is valued pretty highly already. I think the consensus says “hold”.
