Two players relatively close ranking wise. Who gains value?
Opportunity with Hardman abounds. Or it did. But the chiefs decided to bring in a bunch of other similar talent. Or better talent. He has produced a steady meh for several years. He has speed but I don’t see dominance. He would have to improve greatly to take over the alpha on his team.
KJ Hamler had good draft capital, somewhat forgotten due to injury, now playing with Russ. Not a great situation on the depth chart but he could atleast increase in value with an uptick in production or a few splash plays.
I traded Mecole during the rookie/fa draft to grab KJ Hamler. Both are young but another mediocre year from Hardman will rank his value. If Hamler puts up Hardman stats he shoots up a bit in adp.

Re: Mecole Hardman vs KJ Hamler
Even with Hardman underwhelming, I would still rather gamble on him and his depth chart over Hamler. Hamler is behind Sutton, Jeudy and Patrick still. Hardman may be far down on the depth chart but that is assuming Moore hits early.
Re: Mecole Hardman vs KJ Hamler
I’d rather have Hardman as well. I just have a tough time seeing Hamler getting meaningful action outside of an injury.
Hardman may not either, but I think their depth chart/play time is a lot more up in the air personally. We will have to see how that shakes out in the first few weeks of the season. I’ll take a chance there between the two of them.
