Who is somebody you're going to reach on in this draft?

I'm avoiding Legette and Coleman.
I'm reaching on Pearsall and Bowers in TEP (if it even IS a reach).
Good question.

Reaching: I reached/overpaid for MHJ in 2 leagues and bought for fair market value in another.
Avoiding: Odunze, Leggette, Daniels
I'm hoping somehow Daniels slides to me at 15. Would smash and grab him at 22 if he falls that far in my league. And he could. I snagged Richardson late in the 2nd last year
Richardson went in the first round of all my leagues no later than pick 8 in 1 QB leagues.

This happens every year with rookie QBs. They're considered roughly second or third round NFL draft picks in December, by draft day they're top 15.
Sometimes they crash back down on Draft night - Levis and Willis come to mind (as a Titans fan). I wonder what happens with JJM (and Maye).
Feel like JJM and Maye are weirdly trending in different directions. Maye was the no doubt QB2 at the end of the season on every site including this one. JJM wasn't in the top 10. Now somehow they're back-to-back.

I'm on an island potentially with Maye. But he's staying my QB2 unless he falls hard on draft day.

Haven't seen Odunze's name associated with avoid very often. I personally love his cost compared to the other 2 WR studs. I don't expect him to be that far behind in production.
Agree. I am debating between him and Bowers in a TEP league at 1.06. Tough call. Landing spot should cement this pick.

I guess let me be the first! I have him ranked at number 4 overall this year, but did my best to trade up to get out of that slot. I would have tried trading back if that didn't work and if not I probably would have taken him there at 4.

if you want to throw premium draft picks away. go ahead. draft that 4th, 5th or 6th qb.

i think you are more likely to see 4.

it's that time of the year tho... talking heads love hyping qb's
Sorry, I meant 1-4 in the NFL draft, with six TOTAL QBs going in the first round of the NFL draft. I think Penix/Nix in Superflex are going to go early 2nd, later in 1 QB leagues.
I get it. I just don't see it happening. Next week we will know
I'm with 81 on this. While Penix or Nix could potentially sneak into the late first round, a team would have to really want to make sure they secure that 5th-year option. Otherwise, I see both of them going in the 2nd. But it does only take one team.

Minnesota... Heh, they might be drafting another Christian Ponder then... :D
I have PTSD from that draft. I couldn't get Cam, AJ Green, or Julio Jones but man I had a tough choice between Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, or Jonathan Baldwin. I ended up trading a lot that year.

I came away with Greg Little WR CLE, Titus Young WR DET, Leonard Hankerson WR WAS, and two stud QBs in Ryan Mallett and TJ Yates.

I pick at 4 in the only league where I'm going to have a shot at him, so thankfully won't be forced to make that decision for myself. I actually do think I prefer Maye to Daniels regardless of destination. Daniels running game is going to be a cheat code, but the fact it took him 5 years to really breakout and his size (with running being his best asset) both worry me.

Did it really?
Didn't Burrow spend the first 3 years as a back-up, getting junk time and injury fill-ins? Where as Daniels has been a starter for 4/5 years?

There's some good Arizona State years in there for Daniels if you care to look. Definitely not "complete bum" status.

It wasn't just the 5th year.
