ideal draft slot?

Doing a 14 team superflex with devy startup and we’re going a Kentucky derby style to determine the draft order. I have the 5th pick and assuming the first 4 guys go 1.01-1.04 should I continue the trend with the 1.05 or fall back to the 1.14/2.01 turn to grab 2 top 15 guys? QBs are nerfed to try to prevent QB hoarding but still seems like a solid advantage to see how everyone else drafts it I decided to pick the turn. Any thoughts or suggestions to your ideal draft slot?

I like many have Mahomes, Allen and Herbert as my top 3 tier in a superflex startup but it’s also hard to go wrong with the 1.05 to get my pick of the litter of my 2nd tier. Would consider Murray, Jackson, Burrow, Taylor, Chase, Jefferson here at the 1.05.

I like the turn, I like it even more if you are using 3rd round reversal.

This. But since OP didn't specify, it probably isn't.

I'd probably stick with the earliest spot possible to grab a QB and then let whoever fall to me in round 2. I prefer to have the earlier odd round picks myself. I also like to have picks somewhat close together so I can strategize around the turns

Highest available spot for me. I don't actually like the end/turn because if you misread something you're screwed unless you can trade in. I'd rather take the earliest pick possible and trade back if you'd like.

If it was 3RR then I would grab the turn and be happy. I think I am just going to do highest available and not try to get to fancy with it

I just did a 3 man dispersal and it reminds me how much power the turn has in a snake. I was the middle man and both ends set the pace and direction of the draft. The top is the top and people have a plan but when you get to the early mid and are really building that roster its brutal. A position you think is pretty deep suddenly gets the top 2 players pulled back to back and good odds a run starts. Now you free fall and hope or you get someone so you have a startable in that position. I will always favor the turn and this mini dispersal draft really reinforced that.

I don't really think the spot matters, it's what you do with it. I would lean towards first available

If you can get a young elite QB that's always the best position to be in. Would expand that elite tier to include Lamar and Kyler and take one with the 1.05. I can see adding a Burrow to tier 1 at 1.06 although I'm not there with him just yet.

I think you already have the best pick. The sweet spot is to fall at the end of a tier then come back around as fast as you can to pick again.

I’d stick with highest available as it’s not 3RR

I like the middle, it protects you a little from runs. So I’d got with the 1.05 - 1.08 range.
